I'm back!!! :o)

Recommended Posts

I'm back from Eloy!!!;)

I had a great time even though I had a reserve on my 3rd jump there. :S

Skydive AZ is a great place to visit but I don't think I could make it my home DZ. I really didn't care for the landing patterns there and the weather. I'm use to only changing once a day. In Eloy you need to change like 3 times a day. Cold in the morning and night and warm/hot in the day. :S And stay out of the shade;)

I would like to visit it again someday soon. Maybe this summer. The facilities are nice and the people are friendly. The tunnel is awesome. I didn't get to make any ballon jumps because of the winds in the afternoon. So we would just jump until the night came and then we would all head over to Bentprop. Good times!!:D:D:D

So, what did I miss on dz.com? Anything good?
If I stand on my tip toes, I can see the weekend from here!

Is someone calling the waaaambulance? :D;)

Yeah, it rained the whole time up here in Seattle. All that sunshine must have sucked.:P

Glad you had a good time. Tell us about your reserve ride.

Glad I got to meet ya and some of your friends:)
Should have warned you that we change the wind direction periodically on purpose just to keep you on your toes:P

Hope you do visit in the summer that way you will have to strip down and show off those assets along with your beautiful smile:)

Noooobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!!! M.P.F.C.

It was a packing error. The extra brake line was stowed incorrectly and when I released the toggles it caused tension knots in both brake lines. So I couldn't steer, flair, nothing. (and no I did not pack my rig. And yes I usually do stow my own brakes but this one time I didn't. Lesson learned!:|)

a good friend of mine. It was not any of the packers at SkydiveAZ. It's not a big deal. I chopped, landed, got everything back and repacked it. Its only money. No one was hurt and thats the important thing. Also, a very important lesson was learned in all of this. I am going to post pics of a new wrong way to stow extra brake lines. Even the rigger at SkydiveAZ learned from this one. [:/]:)
Plus, I got to fly my new PD 126. :D:D Great reserve canopy!!:):)

Welcome back to whereever you are!! (Ky?)

Can totally relate to the changing of clothes a couple times a day!! Denver is like that for most of spring, winter, and fall...but it's soooo easy to get used to when you're accustomed to staying bundled up for the whole winter. ( like when I lived in Ohio...)

Anyhow, glad you enjoyed it and survived your cutaway. So, was it your first cutaway?? You've already admitted to owing beer on your first 126R....but do you owe more? Like for your first trip to eloy, your first jump there, etc...lol. ;) Take care.
I don't want to make all the decisions because if I screw up, then I can't blame it on you...

ahhh....good response. I've also heard something along the lines of "it wasn't my first...it was my "Premier". ;)

FIVE!!?? wow...find a new packer...lol. Just kiddin. I am curious as to how the brakes were stowed though. I'll keep an eye out for the pic.

Don't forget your case of beer for the first jump back after going to Eloy for the first time.
Weekend after this one will work nicely.

Thanks Boz...I missed you too!;) Hmm...A case for the safety meeting, sounds like a good idea. :D

to be honest, the first 3 I was packing. That's why I stopped. I was going to end up killing myself. So I just pay someone to pack for me. the 4th was line twirst at a low altitude and the 5th well this one. :S

Be nice now, You don't have a balloon jump yet!

I tried to get one in in Eloy but the winds weren't so kind. So now the the gang and I are depending on you for that jump.;):D
