Scoop 0 #1 March 3, 2007 This might be a good question to throw to you military guys. Have you tried any of the 'staycool' type shirts that you wear under your body armour? Summers approaching and I'm thinking that if I hear good things I shall flex my spending muscle and order a couple. Any recommendations? I'm looking at these which are more targetted at athletes http://www.armourfitshop.co.uk/Product_Canterbury_Armourfit_Hot_Essential_Short_Sleeve_T-Shirt.htm Many thanks Sam
mnealtx 0 #2 March 3, 2007 These have a pretty good rep... and they even have cricket and rugby stuff.. 21.99 GBP, or 18.71 minus VAT.Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
Scoop 0 #3 March 3, 2007 Nice one thanks. I'm just skeptical how, in the height of summer, its cooler to wear an extra layer under my body armour and uniform shirt. If it works It'll be well worth the money. Riding a bike all day in the sun in armour isn't ideal
LouDiamond 1 #4 March 3, 2007 Under Armor makes a good product although pricey. I wore it under body armor while in Afghanistan and liked the way it worked. They make a loose fitting model that some guys prefered over the form fitting version, you just need to try both on and see which works best for what you are doing. The only problem with those type of fabrics is that they tend to melt to you when exposed to flash fires (IEDs)."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING

I was goiing to mention the same thing as a Armour crewman I rather sweat my sack off the take a chance when we were in theater. Think of a marshmello thats just caught fire crispy on the out side and stick to everything not my idea of fun. as a bike cop you shouldnt have to worry about that kind of stuff.SO this one time at band camp..... Scoop 0 #6 March 3, 2007 OK, well I bought some Under Armour in a 'generous cut'. I'll have to see how I get on with it. Its likely I will come across fires but extremely unlikely to be unexpectedly caught out by it like you guys could. Thanks for your help.
