Zipp0 1 #1 March 5, 2007 And went against some advice! As money was a major factor, I was looking for something that was inexpensive and ready to ride. I posted a 'wanted' ad on craigslist and had several offers. The one I couldn't refuse was a Honda CR80 with a '91 frame and freshly rebuilt 2001 motor for $750. Anyway, we'll see how I learn and adjust to the 2 stroke factor, and if I don't pick it up quickly, I won't lose money if I sell. And as a bonus I can smoke all of the 4 strokes.... doug925 0 #2 March 5, 2007 Uh Zipp, That's a little bike.... Just how big a boy are ya? Watch out when you hit the powerband on that little guy if you are sitting back on the seat where a bigger guy might sit... You might just end up landing on your ass, and watching the ghost bike wheelie away! PS FYI here is a lesson an old motox'er learned at an early age: DO NOT "armor all" the seat on a two stroke, no matter how shiny you want it to look!I have never developed indigestion from eating my words. simplyputsi 0 #3 March 5, 2007 Dude, that will be a fun bike. But yeah if you're bigger it's gonna get old fast. Of course, it will be good to learn on.Skymama's #2 stalker -

Zipp0 1 #5 March 5, 2007 Yes, it is a little small, but not too bad. If I end up really getting into the sport, I'll upgrade next spring to a bigger bike. BTW - have you seen these 'pit' bikes? The CR80 for me looks normal in comparison. And yes, I know not to sit far back on the seat and not to use Armor All! It's all about fun, and I can tell it is going to be a blast. The extra bonus is that I can haul it in my SUV, and load and unload it myself. 145 lbs - no problema! -------------------------- Chuck Norris doesn't do push-ups, he pushes the Earth down.
