Can you go this fast???

Recommended Posts

52,000 mph- Thats how fast the New Horizons craft is cruising along at now in its mission to visit pluto.

The craft got a boost from Jupiter using the planets gravity to up it's speed by 9000 mph.

Got me thinking - If I track towards Skinny, could I use him as a gravity assist to break the speed skydiving record?

My thinking is that the gavitational pull from Skinny would be too great for you to slingshot off of. Which means you will die a horrible death when you impact him[:/]

USPA rules state that, as a C-licensed jumper, you have to deploy no closer than 2000 feet from him.

well, new horizons didn't crash into jupiter...partly because the approach speed was so fast.

So I need to line up jumpers in order of weight, and track by the lightest first until I get to Skinny in a full bore track to swing around and have a crack at the sound barrier....

Skinny's gonna mow your ass down and then finish it off with a blow job.

Don't forget the truck, since it's one of only 2-3 things that make him who he is, the truck will somehow be involved in what Lee does to Steve. :P:D

I'm way faster then that.

We all are.

The earth rotates around the sun at approximately 67000 MPH. The earth itself rotates at around 25000mph. So, for that time in which we are moving in the direction of rotation, and in a fast car or on a fast bike you might exceed 92200mph.

I heard Lee never does freefall, he just orbits the sun and occasionally sucks the Earth up against himself.

Thanks, Dave.

52,000 mph- Thats how fast the Amazon falls...

too bad the Protracks won't measure such speeds.

Why do I get the feeling something got edited here....

I was watching the X-Craft documentary on Discovery HD a couple nights ago... and was wondering if they would just give me a lift to 200,000 ft or so and let me get a DOOOOOR....I dont think the protracks would work up there.. so how are we going to measure my breaking the sound barrier;)

Pitot tube on the helmet would look WAY too funny.
