On the one hand, you gotta admire her for getting the publicity to help pay for the damages but on the other you gotta be pissed about the negative publicity for skydiving in general.

My reality and yours are quite different.

I'm pissed about the negative publicity, I'm pissed she totally misrepresented what happened (namely that it was pretty much her own fault), and I'm damned sure never getting on a plane with her or her boyfriend/instructor/whatever.

which included aerial video from above,,,,,
of a slow speed malfunction,,,, which.
WAS NOT CUTAWAY!!!! wtf?????

she absolutely dealt herself that 'hand of cards' by NOT chopping that mal......
( There was plenty of time and altitude to do so...) and i have to think her rig was RSL equipped,,, so even though she apparently froze.... she still could have chopped anywhere near a grand,,,,, and had a reserve.......
Then they go and play up the point about her being pregnant, which was actually a non issue until after they got her to the E. Room...
oh well... more fodder for whuffo critics....
I was particularly galled, when she said..*** " skydiving is a selfish sport".....***

well so is Golfing, Tennis, Hunting, Skiing, and just about anything , for which a person develops a passion......
What is really selfish..... is a woman who parlays her own mistake and her own inability into some twisted sort of 'celebrity' simply because she 'didn't die'...
Why didn't Robin Roberts ask her....
"why didn't you PULL YOUR RESERVE.?? "
all in all, rather poor P R for the sport...

I take that SM is refering Shayna Richardson, if so, I think she deserves aALL the attention she can get. If she reads here she'll note how often she is spoken of or refered to.
