How do you stop a leather tear from spreading?

Seriously. I have a small tear in my leather desk chair. It can't be sewn. Is there a way to stop this tear from spreading?

If there isn't, please send vibes.:P

You know, come to think of it, I remember seeing a product on a TV commercial that could repair small leather tears and make it look good as new. That was years ago though. You might be able to find something like it at Walmart...

Staples... Preferably the big ones that they close cardboard boxes with... Either that or you could use a hot-melt glue gun and twine. Just sew it closed with the twine and then squirt some of the glue on top for good measure.:D

A good trick is if you urinate on it the tear will not get any bigger

Yeah, I know about that trick... It works pretty good too. But it just doesn't provide the same degree of timeless aesthetics that staples, twine and hot-melt glue afford.

Take it back to the store, it may be under warranty.

This turned out to be the correct answer. I had originally thought about calling the store but didn't figuring it wasn't covered since I was to blame for the tear. Turns out, I was wrong. They are going to repair it.:)
I owe :D to ExAFO.B|
