SBS 0 #1 March 8, 2007 This just arrived from a guy I work with (a software engineer) to everyone in the company...maybe you have to know him for it to be funny, but I think it's hilarious. ----------------------------------------- Kestrel Ali Fink was rip't untimely from the womb on February 19, 2007, nearly two weeks past his nominal due date. It appears that he was holding out so that he could be a Golden Pig instead of a Fire Dog. Mother and son are doing well. Vital stats were 7lb 13oz, and 19.5 inches at the longest point. Well, to be exact, he must have weighed a bit more -- the little varmint managed to empty his bladder as he was being lifted out of mommy's belly. His innate sense of timing has not diminished since then; we expect he'll be a great comedian someday, although we may have to repaint the walls of his changing room yellow. He still hasn't written a single line of code yet, but the pediatrician said that some babies are a little slow, and he probably hasn't slid below the 20th percentile yet. Still, we're anxiously waiting. As you can see from the attached photograph, Kestrel has his father's chin, his mother's eyes, his grandfather's chin, his mother's chin, and the nose of a curly-haired woman whose name I can't recall just now. Man! Even though it was about ten months ago, I still remember it like it was yesterday. That was a *damn* good party. In addition to the untouched image attached to this message, I have a Flickr folder of heavily photoshopped images that conceal his... special endowments. I'll be back at work the week beginning on the 12th. Just to ease the transition from being a full-time dad, I'd like to ask everyone -- if it's not too much trouble -- to please send me a note whenever you visit the bathroom. brianfry713 0 #2 March 8, 2007 flygirl1 and my mom were looking at some photo albums of me this last weekend while I was packing and they discovered a drawing my grandmother had made for my birthday announcement. We all though it was pretty crazy, it shows a baby (me), under a round parachute. I'll have to ask her why she chose a parachute for the drawing, I don't think anyone else in my family has any jumps.
