SansSuit 1 #3 March 5, 2007 QuoteWhat's the difference? Kinda like Coke and Pepsi to me. WAY back in the day, Matchbox cars were collectables that came in little boxes. They weren't cheap for what they were. Hot Wheels were a later product that were made to race down plastic tracks. They had wheels/axles that allowed them to coast with little friction. My favorite though, was Motorific !Peace, -Dawson. http://www.SansSuit.com The Society for the Advancement of Naked Skydiving

cameramonkey 0 #6 March 5, 2007 Quote But that's ok . . . question is do you remember "Stompers" I loved those things. those were so cool. I am also reminded of Penny racers. for those that dont remember those... they were little freakishly distorted stubby cars about 5/8" wide and 3/4" long (in other words, barely longer than they were wide) with a little license plate like holder on the back. pull them back and away they went. put a penny in the license plate holder, and they would do wheelies in circles instead. I also had the coolest shooting gallery... it was a handgun and a plexi box full of targets (bells, swinging targets, etc) and ball bearings. the gun had a magnetic tip that when you pulled the trigger, the magnet would slide back from the tip of the barrel (inside the gun) and then release abruptly back to the tip of the barrel. you would turn the box upside down to reset the targets, and make the ball bearings move to the top of the box. you would tilt it back vertically so that the ball bearings would land in a series of pockets at the front of the box at the bottom. you would put the barrel of the gun against the plastic in front of a ball, and slide it up along the glass(the magnet would hold the bearing) when you pulled the trigger, it would do what I call the "croquet effect" and send the ball downrange to the target. I need to find another one of those things. I miss it.Two wrongs don't make a right, however three lefts DO!

gearless_chris 1 #14 March 9, 2007 Stompers were awesome. I used to put a 9 volt battery in them instead of the AA. They didn't climb well but they were damn fast."If it wasn't easy stupid people couldn't do it", Duane. My momma said I could be anything I wanted when I grew up, so I became an a$$hole. porpoishead 8 #15 March 9, 2007 the matchbox did seem to roll alot further, but the nicer hot wheels could still hang. the matchbox where also a little more bulky thus could not ride well on the hot wheel tracks. stompers fukin rocked had several tracks for those too. penny racers..... well the penny made em retaded they would just spin or flip over, where's the fun in that, but without they would go the distance. how about air jammers, they came with a pump, you would pump em up then push start and.... klak, klak, klak, klak and haul ass away very fast, the one I had looked like a dune buggy with a bottle in the middle.if you want a friend feed any animal Perry Farrell
