voodoo doll FAQ

Recommended Posts

Yep, there really is one!

clicky

It answers a question I've been pondering for years:

Can Voodoo dolls lose their spiritual power or become cursed over time?
Quote

Any magical tool is subject to vibrational changes depending on how it has been handled. Most need to be “re-charged” through ritual or meditation periodically with the phases of the moon. In this way each magical item is truly a living thing.

They also can absorb negative energies from the people who have used them in a questionable manner. This is why you should never use someone else’s magical items. If you do you will probably feel the effects immediately, although in a subtle manner. Things will seem to go wrong, communication will be blocked or become arguments, and in the worst cases accidents can occur or an unstable spirit could attach itself to an innocent individual.

Spiritual work should be approached with the same common sense that pertains to the rest of life. You wouldn’t eat off of someone else’s fork, so don’t do magic with someone else’s tools.

If you feel that you are in possession of a negative Voodoo doll, the best thing to do is to put it in a white cloth and sprinkle it generously with sea salt. You can then take it to a river or stream or deep in the woods with an offering of fruit and some coins and ask the spirits of the water or the trees to take this energy and transform it through the power of the earth. Walk away without looking back and when you arrive home light a 7-day protection candle and take a bath with cleansing herbs, including sea salt.
