BillyVance 35 #7 March 8, 2007 There are three in Alabama who are long-time skydivers, but they don't post on here. I imagine they have no time for this shit. Dick, Jeff and Diane. Sorry don't remember their last names as I have not seen them in some time. Dick and Jeff have over 7000 jumps and Dick has been on some of the 300+ way world records."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
peregrinerose 0 #8 March 8, 2007 I'm an optometrist, there's an ob/gyn at our DZ, plus a nurse, a couple of EMTs. Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda
kbordson 8 #9 March 8, 2007 QuoteQuotekbordson is a Coochie Doc. I see new mudflap covers in Doc Bordson's future... Ummm.... No on the mudflaps. But there are quite a few of us over educated types here. Jumpndoc is an ortho type (gets to play with power tools in the OR) Jumpdoc is another OB/GYN (married to TrophyHusband who likes to post rather interesting pic of non OB/GYN parts) Wildcard is in his residency (he wants to pass gas). And there are a few out there that are very busy in medical school right now. Here is a search of others that have specifically listed doctor in their profile. edit to add: My pathology instructor in medical school, Dr. Ed Friedlander, pathguy, is also a skydiver. livendive 8 #18 March 8, 2007 QuoteWe've got two that jump at our dz. Considering how small of a dz we are, that's a good percentage. We're a small DZ, and have one ER doctor, occasionally a GP, a nurse practitioner, two flight trauma nurses, an ER nurse, some other kind of nurse, and a dentist. We don't want any of our jumpers to get hurt, but if they do, there's good care available. Blues, Dave"I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!"
