I'm on ACAS -Autism Chat and Share, and I just recently joined Autism-PDD message boards (Autism-pdd.net) I think I'm much the same, but more like rated PG. They don't have swear words or any rated 'R' or sex talk. ...and if you think I'm a bit outspoken here...imagine Acme talking about her sons. Oh yeah, I can be a bit assertive. Anyhoo, I guess I belong to a few others that I just rarely check the boards for messages...some on flight, some on service dogs...but these 3 are the only ones that I take a fairly active role. I even considered helping to moderate one of the forums, but someone busted out with the ole' argument about restraints and disabled kids, and if I was a moderator, I'd have to not express my true feelings as articulately as I am free to do at the moment... The first 'chat' board I was ever on was a board for moms expecting multiples! It was GREAT because I was SOOO FREAKING BORED all day on bed rest. Then we had a couple of moms miscarry and post about their funerals, and to be honest, I couldn't read the boards any more. It really made me too anxious and depressed; and I started feeling guilt that I was still carrying. My mommy told me to get off that chat room because I was freaking myself out. d123 4 #6 March 10, 2007 Well I was an active dude for a long time on a computer technology (work related & shit) forum. After I begin to jump I've lost the motivation & interest.I still go from time to time to check what's up but I don't go with an open heart anymore! I do it just because it might help me with the work! In almost one year I've changed. These days I love a simple&plain HTML based web sites (like skydive-radio or like most of the dropzone websites that are out there) and not the funky 3d flash shit&music stuff. And yes I was having the same personality like here but more active!
