And your post only referenced "Perrine Bridge". Most readers on this forum will assume that it's base related.'Shell

I'm will not be responsible for the assumptions of others But no one here justs browses thread titles and talks about what it might be, do they ... You're correct that people should read what's there. Do they always? No. My point is this ... your thread title says "nothing" about what is in the body of the post. You're posting on a skydiving forum with a title that is a well known base site. With a link to a very short news item on nothing skydiving or base related. Maybe better clarification on YOUR part will alleviate assumptions on OUR part.'Shell

Squeak 17 #9 March 11, 2007 That's exactly my point of the post, the Bridge is what drew my attention to the article, if people cant be bothered to read past titles, screw them I really dont care and I hazzard to guess that you dont either, you are merely being objectionable, but that's coolYou are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! VanillaSkyGirl 6 #22 March 11, 2007 QuoteThis is Bonfire, also not skydiving related. And Shell what evidence do you have that it's not BASE related I think that what Squeak posted was fine. When someone from the skydiving/BASE-jumping communities die BASE or skydiving, the thread about the incident is either in Incidents and/or in Bonfire. However, the Bonfire thread is titled with that person's name or username, not the name of the place where he/she perished. Although I do NOT BASE, I don't see why it's a problem to talk about this particular situation in Bonfire. I personally would want to know, if a person was murdered and the body was disposed, where I might be jumping. It is always tragic, when someone is murdered. Who knows, this may move someone to do something special (a little prayer or blessing, although not necessary) before BASE jumping from the bridge, when it re-opens. Condolences to her relatives...and I hope that the bridge is made quickly available for something as beautiful as BASE. Living LIFE to the fullest is what that bridge should be about...
