boinky 0 #26 March 12, 2007 0:0:1 (I think) Do I owe for having my first photograph printed in Parachutist? Planned on going to safety day, but caught a VERY nasty virus from the next door neighbor's kid. Figured everyone would be "safer" if I stayed at home! chanti 0 #27 March 12, 2007 :4:0 Perfect jumping weekend. Did some very cool 4-way - finally managed to get block 6 perfect! But then I injured my knee on a nasty landing and now it's twice the size of the other one -Chanti-
mangledspoon 0 #28 March 12, 2007 Two plane landings... YAY The wind was all over the place.. went up twice in 15knot winds, then by the time I got to height it was up to 22knot which is just above my wind limit (still technically A licence as my B/C hasn't arrived in the mail yet ) Anyway I suppose the plane rides weren't too bad One was pretty scary as I almost had to land with no flaps down... ahh! doug925 0 #29 March 12, 2007 /2/1 The weather was cloudy on Sunday, and we had a few holds at the 10 min. call. Finally got to jump my new rig though 2x. I did not get a chance to take b eer with me, as they don't seelk it until after 12pm, but I wll bring out a case or two next week.I have never developed indigestion from eating my words. wildfan75 1 #30 March 12, 2007 Absolutely friggin' gorgeous this weekend. Unfortunately we were only able to jump on Saturday because the grass runway is all muddy because of all the snow that we got last weekend melting this week/weekend. Even Saturday we had to shuttle back and forth to the Eau Claire Airport to take off. It was hard to have temps in the high 40's and all blue skies on Sunday and not be able to jump. gonzalesna 1 #34 March 12, 2007 0:5:0 Winds got a lot of people to quit early at perris... I think it's me... Last week, Sunday, I got 2 in during the morning, then the winds canxed it for the rest of the day. All week long, I was told the weather was perfect. Yesterday, I got 2 in and then, once again, the winds shut it down. When they were about to put up a load, the winds picked back up as soon as I manifested... go figure. We finally got back up and running after about a 2-1/2 hour wait or so. I don't know what it is, but it just seemed like Karma getting me back for something in the past. Luckily, the winds settled down and we had some more fun after the delay this week. Some people refrain from beating a dead horse. Personally, I find a myriad of entertainment value when beating it until it becomes a horse-smoothie.
