ACMESkydiver 0 #29 January 6, 2007 Oh yeah. Hubby was bitchin' about having to put the christmas tree up by himself so I took it down by myself whilke he was at work. As for other decorations, WHAT other decorations? That's all we did this year. ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action. staceyg 0 #34 January 7, 2007 My decorations stay up Jan 6th (the 12th day after Christmas); so I spent the the afternoon dis-mantling and boxing up for next year. It was an amazing 70 degrees today, so I opened up the windows and aired the place out. Yeah! Peace, Stacey

sharimcm 0 #38 January 9, 2007 The outside lights... No, they're still up... The inside snow globes... No, they're still out... I did take the stockings off their hangers, but the hangers are still there, and the stockings are now on my kitchen table... Yea, they didn't make it far... gonzalesna 1 #42 January 9, 2007 Nah, they stay up year 'round. I get a lot of the usual criticism and comments, but it sure as hell makes it easy to find the house for parties or when I'm piss drunk stumbling home from a 2 mile walk... you can't miss it!!! (Especially in southern California) I'm the only redneck out here with christmas lights up in July. In july, I just say they're long lasting fireworks designed for decorating the house with. Some people refrain from beating a dead horse. Personally, I find a myriad of entertainment value when beating it until it becomes a horse-smoothie.

Mayberry 0 #44 February 24, 2007 Every year a neighbor of mine goes crazy with decorations & puts up these big-ass candy canes with lights all around the edge of his front yard. And every year all the other neighbors place their bets on when they'll come down. Starting at Dec. 26th, today is day 59 and they'e still up. A couple of years ago he finally took them down when they became just too much to mow around. I should start a contest, the person who guesses closest to the day he takes them down wins a jump ticket. I'll keep you posted.Don Here's to friends! Snowwhite 0 #48 February 24, 2007 Almost all of them are down now. But I only carried them as far as the spare bedroom/computer room, cuz I have to pass the computer to carry them to the attic, and I keep getting sidetracked. sharimcm 0 #49 March 15, 2007 It's well in to March now, and let's see (how white trash I am)... 1) Christmas lights are still hanging outside... 2) Stockings and hangers are still on my kitchen table and haven't moved since I put them there... Anyone else still have their decorations out?
