I know mazda 323's but nothing after year 2000. http://search.carsguide.news.com.au/news/find-a-car/power-search/search-results/car-details.do?make=MAZDA&model=&make2=&model2=&make3=&model3=&keyword=&priceFrom=10000&priceTo=20000&body=&newBody=&transmission=&lifeStyle=&yearFrom=2003&yearTo=2006&location=NSW&postcode=&radius=&stockNumber=&sortFields=A&asc=true&pageNumber=&searchType=4&dealerId=&featureAd=true&vehicleId=112486&vehicleType=3 or there was this one http://search.carsguide.news.com.au/news/find-a-car/power-search/search-results/car-details.do?make=MAZDA&model=&make2=&model2=&make3=&model3=&keyword=&priceFrom=10000&priceTo=20000&body=&newBody=&transmission=&lifeStyle=&yearFrom=2003&yearTo=2006&location=NSW&postcode=&radius=&stockNumber=&sortFields=A&asc=true&pageNumber=2&searchType=4&dealerId=&featureAd=false&vehicleId=113110&vehicleType=3 .Karnage Krew Gear Store . Gawain 0 #2 March 18, 2007 That was known as the Mazda Protoge5 in the US. Quite a sporty and handsome little wagon. Reliable too. I don't know about Mazda resale values in Australia, but in the US, it wouldn't sell for as much as that seller is looking for it, significantly less in fact. However, wagons in the US are less of a premium than along the Pacific Rim, so start up your buying plan. I didn't own one, but I've driven them, they're a lot of fun to drive and there are plenty of aftermarket parts for it if you want to go there. The fact that it's a wagon just makes it more useful and worth keeping. So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! bigway 4 #4 March 18, 2007 I would think in the US the mazdas are japanese imports. This one is made in Australia as far as I know. I have seen jap imports that are very cheap second hand. All jap imports i have ever owned turn out to be pretty shit. A car built in australia however would be worth more. Though here in oz cars are very expensive no matter how you look at it. Thanks for your opinion. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

Gawain 0 #11 March 19, 2007 Quoteits still ford engineering Not that one. The US Mazda3 is a re-worked Ford Focus, which isn't a bad car either. So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! Thanks for your opinion. This generation was made in Japan, 100% Sourced parts in Japan. I don't know about the newest Mazda3 though. Hondas and Toyotas have been getting built in the US for decades, and their quality has not suffered at all. Some Mazda and Nissan models are built here as well. It's the result of an effort in the 70s by the US automakers to place unfair policies on the Japanese automakers, their plan backfired. Holden has a decent reputation down there right? Well, GM took a sweet ass Holden Monaro to be the next Pontiac GTO here in the US, and f**k*d it up so bad that it didn't survive 3 full model runs, and that was one their better built vehicles. So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! The fact that it's a wagon just makes it more useful and worth keeping. I have a '96 Mazda Protege sedan, not wagon. It has 189K miles on it and we've never had any major problems with it, except for the time I drove through a flooded stretch on the road and slogged up the transmission. bigway 4 #19 March 19, 2007 This is not the protge 5. This is the 323 Sp20. I know it is similar but it is different HP and different size body. Yes they are both 2.0 but the 323 sp10 is smaller. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
dentman 0 #20 March 19, 2007 I'm pretty sure Mazda don't have a factory in Australia and they are not built at a local ford plant either. Australia builds Fords, Holdens, Mitsubishi's and Toyotas, but only very limited models. I think you are getting confused with second hand imports also known as (grey) imports and Australian delivered (sold brand new) imports. All that aside my mate owned one from new and they are great little cars, the SP20 had the 2.0l motor as opposed to the 1.8 and a lot more features standard. The SP stands for sports pack so it has sportier suspension. Personally I wouldn't trust anything a used car salesperson has to say, do your own reseach and make sure you see the service history of the car, haver a good look at it to make sure it hasn't been pranged. bigway 4 #21 March 19, 2007 I was talking about a mazda dealership, not a used car salesman. I am buying private anyway, just getting info from the dealerships. I know new zealand had a mazda plant. Thought it closed down though cause of the australian one. The car i am buying (well there is two i have to choose from) are both owned by lady's in their 40's and they are both only one owner cars. Either going for yellow with 40,000 kms on it or blue with 68,000 kms on it. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
