Ive been through quite a bit over the past year and have always been able to bounce back But its finaly caught up with me, im normaly an easy person to get on with I think and can normaly see a good side of everything. I hate my job, well more like the bitchy backstabbing people that I work with ! Ive been off for a week and I dont want to go back, just the thaught of it is making me feel sick. I dont have family here and that sucks ( not that my family are close but ) and that needy boy friend of mine has backed off when i need support funny that huh. skysmurf2 0 #7 March 18, 2007 I'm in a very similar place to you except having just moved countries/continents for my job. 3.5 months so far... I don't have anybody. Everyone in my office is much older than me and I work the kind of hours that make socializing very difficult. I don't even get a lunch hour. I would happily moan and rant in sympathy with you but instead I'm just going to keep thinking that it will get better - its only a job and if I stick it out and do well then it will lead to better things. That doesn't stop me from really despising the environment(s) i'm in BUT it is just a job if it doesn't get better then I can always quit and find something I enjoy more. So could you?! Remember if nothing else jobs do pay for jumping If you hate the people you work with, but everything else is okay, maybe you could ask for a transfer to another department? Been there, done that, didn't buy the T-shirt, but nicked one of the uniform ones when I left. Usually there's nothing wrong with you, just with your workplace, believe me, there are a lot of dysfunctional peolpe out there who can mess up a perfectly good working environment. Find something new, then quit, or quit, then find something new. Really. Relax, you can die if you mess up, but it will probably not be by bullet. I'm a BIG, TOUGH BIGWAY FORMATION SKYDIVER!
