Reserve as main

Recommended Posts

Wich reserves was you having in use as a main? (or have in use)
Wich manufacturer, size, lineset had this reserve-main ;)

How many jumps had you make on this chute?
(How much jumps held the chute stand?)
Have you had this chute/gear using to wingsuit jumps?

How was your overall experience with this art of main?

Many thanks in advance!

Uhm I did 10 crw jumps (filming) with a P126R B|

Most reserves cannot be used as mains because they do not have the pilot chute attachment point. Some Raven's do, and of course the demo canopies for various manufacturers (which is how I got to jump the pd126r).

I have one terminal reserve jump with my wingsuit, wouldn't want to have it as my main. Then again there are a few (or at least one) jumpers jumping small lightnings as wingsuit mains. PD says not to take those to terminal :S I usually jump camera so am pretty careful to jump a slower-opening main, when opening from terminal anyway.

arks you are the second in this week. :S ......for the forum police: my profile says i have 100 wingsuit jumps.
and for the record: I have ~320 Jumps total

Thanks for your answer and sorry for my outbreak, but i think here are many people without a single information in your profiles.

I know this, but i think there is no problem for a experienced rigger to add a bridle attachment point?
....changing the slider should also help....i have read

Just out of interest, why do you want a reserve as main?
Do you want to have an ideagasm?

Just time and money. It's a major job to intall a bridle attachment point. It involves opening many load bearing seams and installing the reinforcing, then re-closing the aforementioned seams (which is exacting work and therefore costs). All in all it's an expensive and time consuming proposition, easier to "borrow" a demo made for that purpose.
