BillyVance 35 #3 March 27, 2007 As long as ground winds are safe enough to where you won't get dragged across the desert after you land, have at it. We'll watch. greybeard 0 #6 March 27, 2007 You guys don't understand the desert winds. We can cruise for miles and miles, and when the devils stir, we rise and rise. To drop out of the thermals precicly over Eloy is really tricky, else you end up in Collidge. They have no good bars in Collidge, so to overshoot Eloy's Bent Prop, you may have to go as far as Albequerque and then the ATC gets all nervious. So, you just gotta watch real close for the bighorn sheep in the Ironwood Nation Forest and start to cruise towards the I-8 headed for Eloy. All seriousness aside, the Bent Prop has the best beer.
