stayhigh 2 #1 October 22, 2006 Couple weeks ago people freaked out about my closing loop being too long.(due to the grommet not being stacked on top of each other). So I have shorten it and had trouble closing it ever since. My hardest part in packing is closing the damn thing so I looked up in my infinity manual and it says not to stack the grommet on top of each other. I can still close mine, but should I make the closing loop longer and follow the manual or listen to the other people in the dropzone? By the way container is made for size 190 and I use 190.Bernie Sanders for President 2016
Guest 1010 #2 October 22, 2006 [sounding like one of the old guys] If you don't like the answer you get from the owner's manual, why in heavens name would you listen to people on the internet? Maybe they or you have something misunderstood, who knows? Well, the rig manufacturer knows, and VSE is VERY good at customer sevice, just call them and ask them. Takes less time then posting here, and you'll probably learn something about your rig as well. Martini 0 #3 October 22, 2006 Talk to a rigger. Some riggers know more than how to pack a reserve. Also call VSE. They know stuff too.Sometimes you eat the bear..............
djmarvin 2 #4 October 22, 2006 Follow the manual. What is right for one rig may not be the same for the other. Kelly posts on here a bit and hopefully he sees your post and responds himself. Till then my advice is follow the manual, and for what it's worth I have heard Kelly say more than once that the grommets are not suppose to line up on the main for an Infinity. monkycndo 0 #5 October 22, 2006 I talked with Kelly while we were both at the American Boogie and asked him the same question. I showed him my rig and he said it looked just right. They don't stack, the top grommet is offset, just like the manual shows.50 donations so far. Give it a try. KellyF 16 #6 October 23, 2006 Hi Mike, you are correct with your closing loop length. When closed properly, the grommets for the bottom flap, center flap, and right side flapshould all be stacked on top of each other, with the edge of the left side flap just meeting up the edge of the right side flap. The Infinity is designed this way to allow the pin cover flap to lay a little bit flatter over the pin and to allow a little more freedom when downsizing canopiesVSE on Facebook
