Road trippin'...

Recommended Posts

In about a week and a half, I'll be driving from Silverton, Oregon to Rialto, CA with a stop in San Jose, CA.

I need:

1. DZ's to stop at that aren't too far from the road I'll be on.
2. People to jump with.

Ideas and help?
(Already checked the DZ locator thingy... working on a generalized route.)

Taft and Santa Barbara are other options further south.

Mokey boy is correct (as always)....

Taft would be a good stop off I-5 (about 15-20 minutes off the freeway).

Lompoc (Santa Barbara) would good if you decided to take Hwy 1.

Sounds like a cool road trip - have a blast!!!!

Here's the places I've got so far...

Oregon
Eugene Skydivers

California
Bay Area Skydivers
Skydance
Adventure Center
Parachute Center (Lodi)
Taft
California City

Any reccommended additions to the list?

I'll be heading down on the 9th through the 11th of April, so if you see my goofy ass, stop me and say hi. I'll probably be owing beer since it'll be my first jump in all of the above DZ's.

Byron and Davis are not normally open on Monday or Tuesday. Hollister is open during the week when there is a tandem or enough people to start the 206 or KingAir. Lodi is open 365.

And Gia, I'm not always right, I just play that guy on TV.B|

Cool. Will do.

How about jumpers? Sure, I could do things the old fashioned way and ask people to jump with me once at the DZ, but come on... this is the future. Who does that nowadays???

So, what DZ.commers go to them DZ's regularly???
