motorcycles suck ass

Recommended Posts

my uncle was in a horrible accident tonight... he is in extremely critical condition and is going through some serious surgery... please say some extra prayers or whatever it is you do, that he'll be ok ...

there is nothing that protects you on a motorcycle from cars or trucks that don't see you, or if you slip or anything like that it is a battle between you and whatever you hit - you have no airbags and theres not much a helmet is gonna do...

if you decide that you absolutely can't live without a motorcycle - please please please be cautious and be aware of all of your surroundings - otherwise think twice before buying one - because in all reality you might not live with one

no - thats not what i said at all - not to mention you have two chutes that give you an extra chance but obviously you missed the point of my post- critique all you want - at this point all i care about is my uncle's well being and offering a "be careful out there" - people will do what they want all i said was be careful

Sorry this has happened to your Uncle. I ride a bike too so I have a lot of sympathy for you and your Uncle.

It's not motorcycles that suck though. Motorcycles are great and a lot of fun to ride.

It's assholes who don't look out for motorcycles, that suck. I hope your Uncle get's a good attorney and sues the car driver (I'm assuming) for everything they have. If he needs a good attorney, experienced in motorcycle accidents, let me know and I'll do what I can to hook you up with a good one.

I wish your Uncle a speedy and complete recovery.

(I'm assuming)

No kidding.

Yup. Pretty fair assumption too considering the majority of motorcycle accidents involve a car and/or truck making a left turn in front of the motorcyclist.

I ride and have been riding for well over 20 years and a LOT of the accidents on bikes are just as much the riders fault as any car or truck.. Comments like yours do no good what so ever in helping to educate people to bikes.

Kenz, I hope you uncle is going to be ok:|

How's yours doing?

I'm sorry to hear about your uncle. I have thought for some time about getting a motorcycle in the future, if I ever give up skydiving. I won't do both at the same time. Only thing holding me back is that on a motorcycle like you said, there is no safety net.

You ALWAYS have to be on the defensive and trust NO ONE out there...

I hope he makes it through. [:/]

thank you everyone for your thoughts prayers and vibes...

my uncle passed away this morning after fighting for 12 grueling hours - i will not get into the graphic details, because they are just that
however i will say it was a 20 year old that decided a redlight did not apply to him

for those of you who decided to get on the defense you missed the entire point of why i posted this... most of you got it - all i'm sayin guys is please be careful out there - there are no guarantees - thats life i get it - but try to think a little more - because what you think might not be a big deal can most certainly be a matter between life and death

I'm very sorry your uncle passed away. :(

As for that 20 year old, I hope he is in jail for vehicular manslaughter. >:( If not, then sue his ass in civil court to teach him a lesson. :|

I was hoping a rider would make this comment to those posts - especially about the whole "I hope the rider sues the car driver" etc kind of rhetoric. I see a fair share of reckless motorcycle behavior every day. Oblivious drivers can get to operate any kind of vehicle.
