skydiver30960 0 #1 April 2, 2007 www.keurig.com Anybody ever use one of these before? We just got one at work and they are totally SWEET! Fast, NO mess whatsoever, and the coffee is actually really good! Upsides: fast, GOOD coffee, with absolutely no loose grounds mucking up the kitchen floor or garbage can. Downsides: cost (about 0.60 per cup after you buy the machine) and the seemingly high environmental cost of processing that goes into making each little coffee serving. NWFlyer 2 #2 April 2, 2007 My now-former employer has them in the corporate office, so any time I was there for training or meetings, I'd go through a bunch of cups a day. Like you, I looked into getting one of my own but they're pricey on a per cup basis. There's other brands that I've heard are less expensive, though."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. Broke 0 #3 April 2, 2007 YOu can get a part to use any coffee you want, so you can cut down on the environmental factor. Slightly messier, but still good. Of course I prefer my coffee press over my KeurigDivot your source for all things Hillbilly. Anvil Brother 84 SCR 14192
Lindsey 0 #4 April 2, 2007 Yeah. We have one at work too. I kinda like it. It'd be nice at home since I'm the only one drinking coffee there. I like my Bunn coffee maker too. I also like my press, but really don't use it much. My white bunn won't work in my new kitchen, so I was kinda thinking about a Keurig coffee maker too...or a new black bunn. I don't like that ya' can't decide how stout to make it though. Maybe with that little thingamadooch you can buy (like Broke was talking about) that problem could be solved.-- A conservative is just a liberal who's been mugged. The 0.60 ain't that bad actually. I sometimes make coffee at home and take it to work in a thermos, but that's a pain. The coffee shop adjacent to our parking lot charges $2.50 for a large coffee, $2.00 for a medium. A regular coffee pot in my office won't work for me, as the only place we have to wash dishes is the bathroom...fucking gross. The thought of washing something I eat/drink out of while up to 3 guys are grunting one out behind me disgusts me, thus my habit of buying expensive coffee and going to a restaurant for lunch every day. With one of these, I could have good coffee for a lot less money than retail and just take my cup home once a week. Blues, Dave"I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!"
