ntrprnr 0 #3 April 7, 2007 I travel CONSTANTLY. I bring them on the plane, read them, rip out worthwhile articles, then leave them on the plane for the next person. And I kinda have to - I work in PR - I've gotta read a LOT of stuff. _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues." ntrprnr 0 #6 April 7, 2007 QuoteThat explains it: expense account! :) Wouldn't books work better? Sadly, no. I need to find out who's writing what on a daily basis. It's relatively annoying. :)_______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."
NWFlyer 2 #7 April 7, 2007 I used to have several subscriptions, mostly promos that I got with miles from airlines that I never fly, where I had a few orphaned miles that were never going to add up to anything. But I ended up with piles and piles of unread magazines. I never did bump the subscriptions back up when I started traveling again. So now I'm down to the stuff that comes based on my membership in certain groups (alumni magazines, and Parachutist), and two that I actually pay for: Skydiving and Entertainment Weekly. Of course, I'm always excited to see brain candy like People or Oprah at the gym. "There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. FlyingJ 0 #8 April 7, 2007 Which airline is running a promotion like that? I don't fly much, but I'm pretty close to having tickets on several different airlines. Could use any help I could get, especially since I was about to subscribe to a few magazines anyway!Killing threads since 2004.

JohnMitchell 16 #21 April 7, 2007 American Rifleman, Guns and Ammo (Vskydiver's subscription), Air & Space, and National Geographic. We also get Cosmo for Teens in our mailbox, but I don't really read that one much. In the break room at work there's always a bunch of boat, motorcycle, or flying mags around, so I get to read darn near everything. And Krisanne is right, there's nothing fluffier for the brain than a copy of People or Us.
