Help with my plant please

Recommended Posts

Hey all, I was on a remodel jib the other day and they were throwing away this big pretty corn plant. I saved it and brought it home and we love it. The tips of it's leaves are turning brown though. It was doing that when I salvaged it. Anyone know why it's starting to do that? And if so, what can I do?
Thanks
Mike

Clip the tips off...not too much water...you'll drown it and it will turn yellow. Most of my plants have square leaf ends and they are growing beautifully :)

I don't know how big the container it's in, but it may well be "Root Bound" Those plants dont need water but every 7-10 days. They do however need loads of sushine, and the proper pruning. It's obvious who ever had it before cut the trunk and then two branches branched off of the main. Probably because it was getting too tall. Try doing an internet search on it, and see what it has to say. Some plant food of your choice, and some new potting soil wouldn't hurt it either. Good Luck!

I cannot give any advice on saving plants. Everything I get dies. I put some of the wifes plants outside the other day so they could liven up a bit when it was warm when the sun was out. Then I forgot about them and we got a frost that night. OOOOPS! Man my wife is still pissed at that. I have a living room full of plant that look like they should be in a hospice.[:/]
If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!
