Icon134 0 #2 April 6, 2007 when I was working with the team that was developing the Advanced Tactical Laser I inquired if they were planning on testing the laser by making popcorn in a house... but none of them had any idea what I was talking about... it was really sad... Lol, I'm currently attending Cal Poly SLO for my BSME and some of the students I'm in class with are complete fucking robots... I was really bored in this lame lab class the other day, so I was joking around quite a bit, and I had this little shithead ask me how old I thought I was, so I replied with, "Old enough to know that life's a whole lot more fun if you don't go around all day with a stick shoved up your ass"... After thinking about it for a while he chilled out quite a bit... Apparently he thought he had to be completely serious ALL the time... FlyingJ 0 #9 April 7, 2007 In the last few months I've found myself trying to describe this movie to at least half a dozen people. I don't know why it always comes up, but seems like there are constantly things happening that remind me of this movie. That's one I need to keep my eyes open for on DVD.Killing threads since 2004. FlyingJ 0 #17 April 7, 2007 All the talk about this movie made me realize that I really did need to own it. It took me 4 stores to find it, and a 5th store to find it at a price I was willing to pay. Best Buy sells it, but they wanted $22! Their new releases cost $19.99. Obviously they realize it's a great movie. I dred going to the mall at all costs (See my parking lot rant), but this time it was worth it as I found it in a music/movie store there for about $12. Yee haw...about to go pop it in and enjoy some cheesy mid-80s cinematic bliss. Killing threads since 2004.
hobie331 0 #18 April 7, 2007 Thursday I drove six hours to Skydive Dallas only to wake up to crappy weather. Drove back to KS to jump, woke up to high gusty winds this morning. I'm glad I came to this thread cause now I know what to do tonight to cheer myself up. But first, I have to go to the market and get some Jiffy-Pop. It's a gift, I don't try to explain it. FlyingJ 0 #25 April 8, 2007 Just watched it. I totally forgot about this scene in the movie between Chris Knight (Val Kilmer) and the hot daughter of some govt. dude. I can't believe nobody else brought it up: Chris: So, if there's anything I can do for you, or, more to the point, to you, you just let me know. Girl: Can you hammer a six-inch spike through a board with your penis? Chris: Not right now. Girl: A girl's gotta have her standards. Killing threads since 2004.
