GQ_jumper 4 #1 April 8, 2007 I'm trying to figure out how to save a screen shot from a video so I can email it. angrypeppers 1 #2 April 8, 2007 Try hitting Ctrl + PrtSc, paste (Ctrl + v) the pic in a graphics viewer like MS Paint, or IrfanView, then save it as a jpg. Works on my laptop... IanHarrop 43 #3 April 8, 2007 Try this tool to capture a frame out of a video http://www.cd2html.de/moviesnapshot.en.html"Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy
GQ_jumper 4 #4 April 8, 2007 thanks, it's kind of working. I'm trying to save a screen shot from a movie, I'm playing it with the normal DVD player program but it only saves as long as the player is still up. As soon as I close the player the pic saved turns black. Do you know if I need to save it from a different viewer or something?History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. SuFantasma 0 #5 April 8, 2007 Screenshot from a video may not get loaded with the Print-Screen view... Depends on your computer configuration, the video memory is not the same as the screen memory. With that said, you can try a utility like Snagit or Camtasia.... If you just need it for a one-time shot, download the eval and go.... pilotdave 0 #6 April 8, 2007 What DVD software? If you can play it in windows media player, go to Tools -> options, performance tab, advanced, and shut off "use overlays." Then you can do a screen capture. Dave
GQ_jumper 4 #7 April 8, 2007 It's the HP DVD player, it was on the laptop when I bought it. I'm basically trying to pull some shots off a tunnel video to send. And my windows media player doesn't want to play the DVD.History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D.
