weegegirl 2 #1 April 13, 2007 My nephew, his wife, their brand new baby, and his wife's parents were on this flight last night. They called my brother who is a long time pilot at 1 AM to let him know they were okay. Freaking scary!!! Apparently they decided to land downwind with a pretty stiff tailwind (in a snow and ice storm!). Morons. Glad nobody was hurt! http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18069843/
JohnMitchell 16 #2 April 13, 2007 Is your nephew's wife the Alison Davis in the interview? I'm glad they're okay. I would be terrified to be holding a baby in my lap during something like that. Thank goodness it was a fairly mild incident.
weegegirl 2 #3 April 13, 2007 No, that was another lady on the flight. Apparently the flight was delayed because they were waiting for the winds to die down enough for the landing. Yet they still decided to land on runway 28 with a stiff tailwind. Obviously that was a bad decision. Not sure why they would land downwind in a snow storm. I seriously would have flipped inside if I were on that plane. Imagine the feeling when the landing gear fell off and the plane started doing a 360. Holy hell! Yeah... they're lucky everyone was okay!
