Hockey anyone!

I pulled up their web page this morning expecting to see at least a close score. I read 8-0 and then I see Lehtonen's picture and I knew instantly that it was us that lost.

It's just one game, and from what I read we had some problems with penalties. Maybe they needed to blow that steam off for a game.

a good game would be the ducks and my sabres... talk about a good game for the stanley cup... everyone else is just second :P :)

Even with penalties--8 goals with no response is just painful. Bad, bad night. I hope it was just a fluke and that it will be back to business as normal soon!

Anyone catch the Rangers last night? Came from 2-0 down to win in the shootout 3-2. Shanny of course leading the way with a sick game tying goal and then the shootout winner where he roofed it over Fleury's glove side shoulder. For the first time Crosby actually really impressed me though. Dont get me wrong I know he is an incredible player, but I thought there was just sooo much hype. Last night he scored a really nice goal that started at his own blue line, split the D and then a nice flick over lundquist to put the ice chickens up 2-0.

I heart this game.

Crosby is a baby
but a good goal is a good goal no matter who scores it. I love to watch a play unfold and someone do what you would have thought impossible then finish it off with a goal.

hmmm I think crosby is here tomorrow!!:o
I'll be skydiving, no time for hockey this weekend.

Yes, taking fewer penalties would have helped but taking more shots would have helped more.

I saw Crosby as a whiner last year. He is always complaining to the refs. There is also an enormous picture of him up on 6th Ave in NYC where the NHL is putting up a new NHL store. As a Rangers Fan I disagree with a huge poster of the Penguins right in midtown. I understand they are marketing him to potential casual fans of the game, but I just think this game is more than flashy, shifty players, but I guess its hard to market defensive specialists and faceoff gurus. But that goal was still sweet to watch even against my team. On my couch it went something like, "hit him hit him! step up step up! Play the body not the puck....AAAhh! Wow that was pretty." Going to a game on Sunday very excited as always.

No kidding. That much never seems to change. I didn't see it--was TB's defence just spectacular to boot, or did ATL just fall apart?

I hate to say it, but I was waiting for it to happen but hoping it wouldn't. Now that it has I do think it is pressure off them and they will shake it off and start kicking some more booooootie

I'm happy, just as long as they limit this problem to one game and keep it on the right track otherwise! There is never a good time to fall apart, and I like the notion of sustained momentum.

Would you be pleased to find out that with the Oil on the power play, Stolli rang it off the same post TWICE?

Would you be displeased to find out the Blackhawks had a 2 man advantage and the Oil got through it unscathed.

Interesting first night of the 2007 Stanley Cup Playoffs!

Vancouver/Dallas just ended (1:35 am my time) with a couple minutes left in the FOURTH overtime period. Vancouver won on a pretty passing play by the Sedins.

San Jose won in OT over Nashville but have lost Cheechoo for an undetermined period of time.

Senators beat the Penguins 6-3 as Fleury looked a bit over anxious in the net for the Pens.

Ducks beat the Wild 2-1.

'Shell - who you cheering for now? The Flames? :o:o
