Rage Against The Machine Returns?!

Recommended Posts

WOW! I may need to take time off and head out for this.....someone just sent me this email tidbit:

Billboard reported on January 19, 2007 that there were rumors that Rage Against the Machine could reunite at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.[6]. These rumors were confirmed in a Los Angeles Times article on January 22[7] and later on the band's official website.[8] The band is billed to headline the final day of Coachella 2007 on Sunday, April 29.[9][10] Billboard reports that sources suggest this will likely be a one-off.[11]

RATM is back... but so are the Smashing Pumpkins if you missed that also. They are in the studio working on their return album.

Original lineup fro Rage? Iasked the same damm question in the Cochella thread, and was ignored! >:(

I actually - almost- prefer Audioslave... Cornell's vocals are just unreal...

Apparently its the original lineup at the concert.

And yea, you can't miss out on anything about the Pumpkins in this town

Cornell has a good voice, but Audioslave just isnt RATM

2007 looks like its the Reunion year. So far:

Rage Against the Machine
Police
Van Halen w/ David Lee Roth - w/out Micheal Anthony
Smashing Pumpkins

That's 4 just this last month announced. I wonder who else is looking to capitalize off the Gen-Xers getting more money in their pockets. Or who's career needs a lift. :P

The year of the reunion

In the world of rock, 2007 is shaping up as Year of the Reunion. It's not just the quantity that stands out; remobilized old bands have dominated the summer concert circuit for years. It's the star power.

Beyond the Police and Van Halen, major reunion projects are on the way from such names as Rage Against the Machine, Genesis, Smashing Pumpkins and the Stooges.

FUCK! They did a free concert here in Chicago this weekend on Saturday and I didn't hear about it until this morning. First time they are on stage together in 7 years and it's free and accessable for me.....:S
