masterblaster72 0 #1 April 17, 2007 To those who wished me well on the marathon, thanks again. Thanks a million. I ran it today and did *much* better than I could have expected considering my lengthy injury layoff and today's unreasonably windy, rainy, chilly and humid conditions in Hopkinton at race time. 3:20:04 was my final time, and i placed higher than my bib number predicted. My superstitious side tells me that 'good luck wishes' somehow have a positive effect on my marathon performances, and thanks in part to those who wish me well on my marathons, I've always run times I've been content with. This is certainly not the best time I've ever run (actually it's the worst!), but I've never been more proud of a performance than the one I busted out today. I'm delighted with this marathon time all things considered, and I've never felt the kind of joy (or pain) at the finish line that I felt today. Thanks once again for helping me out in my race, it really means a lot to me! Jewels 0 #2 April 17, 2007 I'm impressed that you would show up and push through it no matter HOW you rate your performance! Nicely done! TPM Sister #
BillyVance 35 #3 April 17, 2007 That was your worst time? Fuck, that's 9 minutes better than my best marathon time. I'd have loved to have your time anywhere... of course, I wouldn't have cared what time I ran at Boston as long as I finished in a respectable manner. But my running days ended 17 years ago.
