Summer is coming early this year and birds are migrating north before they normally would......How do they know it's already warm in northern Europe?

I saw some heading south the other day when the cold front came through.

I bet they were like time to head north, it's hot down here, then halfway were like oh shit, who the hell said head north?

I'm not sure. There's supposed to be some skylarks not far from where I live, but they're not there. And they were supposed to have arrived in march.
