Mooo ve it over here!!

Gonna go cow tippin!!

You know Grue, its okay to be strong minded but you are way over doing it. And as far as your above statement, you are way off key! Just because a woman has a tattoo or several does not means she's impulsive or doesn't wonders about the consequences of her actions. I have two of them on my back. They are a way for me to express myself and have sentimental meaning to them. Did I think about what they might look like in 10 to 20 years, hell yes I did. I also understand not everyone cares for a woman with tattoos. This is why I chose a location so if i feel like it I can expose them or conceal them. Does this make me easy or impulsive, hell no it doesn't! I take offense to what you said. And since you're on a kick to tell people your own feelings, let me tell you mine. If you can't keep the sterotyping bullshit out and look at each person as an individual then keep your own options to yourself. You don't know me or what my integraties are! By posting what you did offends every woman that has a tattoo. It sounds like you need to be taught better judgment.

His comment didn't offend me because I know there is ABSOLUTE truth in what he said as it applies to me.
If you had asked me 5 years ago if I would ever have had a tattoo, I would have probably denied it. The reason I got it was NOT planned out (so it technicallly was impulsive as it's memorial ink that I got the day after my friend died) and I DON'T worry about regretting it later. So he's right on those comments - does that translate to being an insult? No... he did say "reasonable chance" (remember some guys carry a condom in their wallet at all times "just in case".... "reasonable" might mean something different for them) He didn't state that "all women with tattoos are sluts." just implied that some might be. And he didn't even say "sluts," rather that she might tend to "do something impulsive"
He can have that opinion.... he might be misunderstanding or misreading some people... but he might be on target with some. The ones he misreads, he'll figure that out in time. The ones he reads correctly... he's hopeful
I appreciate what you are saying. But he does make this sterotype comment in regards to ALL women that have tattoos(which includes me.) My tattoos are also for the memory of a loss, my mother. I did put a lot of thought into the tat that I got in her name. I waited almost a year before I decided to get it. If his post had different meaning than the way it came out, then I'm sorry for getting my blood pressure up. But all I'm saying is he should be careful with what he decides to post on here or anywhere for that matter when he's making reference to someone. Because when you post something on the internet, you are directing it to hundreds of people. That's all. It's important to have your own opition. I respect that he has his, he just needs to be careful how he word things. As we all do

I am blessed to have a picture of that one, but out of pure respect, I won't post it.

And Lisa, stop whoring yourself out. You know I am your one and only.

Oh, and J - Back off, she's mine.

Speaking from personal experience?
My own opinion on the whole tattoos on the ass deal.. If she has a tattoo I would hope it's tasteful, well done and that she's happy with it. It doesn't make her trashy, it doesn't mean she's impulsive, it doesn't mean she's easy. All it really means is that she has some body art, nothing more, nothing less... I don't get what the big freakin' deal is....

Agreed. And when someone feels slighted by those steroyped, careless comments... it's easy to get riled up. But just understand that he probably wasn't directing an insult to you specifically.... (even though you fit in the "women with tattoos" demographic).... and getting all torqued about those comments is just hurting you (emotionally and even physically) more than him.
But... your comments on how people should be more careful on how things are worded is very true.

QuoteI told my daughter over and over...
You are wise as always, mama.

Quotemost of the people I know who got tats when they were under 25, wouldn't choose the same tat now that it is 10-20 years later.
It's not that I wouldn't choose the same ones. I still rather like both of them. I probably just wouldn't have any at all.
Quotelater. I told her that if she did get one, to make sure it could be covered with clothing and to get something that was special and one she wouldn't get sick of.
I did the same thing. I didn't want anything that might potentially hinder my future success (right or wrong, a big obvious tat somewhere isn't likely to help you in a professional environment.) I got my first one on my 18th birthday. I had two tan lines at the time--my Speedo tan from work (lifeguard at the time, later became a swim instructor in college) and my bikini tan. There was a space right in-between on my lower back that my Speedo would cover the tat but it'd be visible in my bikini. I very strategically had it placed there. You know, so I could be oh-so-super cool on the beach with my friends, but still sweet & professional at work.

Most people who know me don't know I have any tattoos. And those lucky enough (

I was curious what his definition of trashy was, though. Only to teach myself a lesson, too--I try very hard not to pass quick judgements about people. But, I still do sometimes; especially if I see a girl in a bar in a mini-skirt & knee-high boots with her na-na's all "Hello. How are ya?" I can't help but think she has no class. She might have some class. But, I doubt it.
Tats say the same thing to some people depending on how/where they were raised. My father certainly didn't want me getting one--thus its appeal at the time, in retrospect.

Oh, and I personally don't think tattoos go very well with a girl in a dress. Don't know why--but figured I might want to wear one someday. At least some things never change...
<--still rockin' her jeans & heels.

LOL.... I got my tat 6 years ago and I'm already tired of it. I tend to forget about it, and often am caught off gaurd when I catch a glimpse of it in the mirror.

I don't regret getting it, it does have a lot of meaning to me, but I should have researched the tattoo artist better for quality then maybe I'd still love it.
The first time someone called it a tramp stamp I thought "what a jerk", but it was J and I couldn't possibly be angry with him.

I don't think I'll ever get another, on my butt or otherwise....

Now I am glad I didnt used my other cute name for a Tattoo in the small of a Woman’s Back..."Mark of the Whore" and/or "Bull’s-eye".

Tramp Stamp was the nice name.

OK.. Now I am going to Run and Hide.. No Really.. I will be hiding for a while I think.

Disclaimer: I think Tattoos can be very nice on women and the above is posted purely in jest.. Please dont hurt me (Or atleast put on that Black leather Outfit first if you are going hurt me anyway.)

I think there are probably pics of mine floating around in the depths of forum history...but I've since deleted them from my computer as they were not great quality.
Ever since I bought Billy his new, amazing digital camera for Christmas, old pictures in all their low-quality glory must be banished from existence.

Seeing it was interesting. Making it go "moo" was priceless.

I told my daughter over and over that most of the people I know who got tats when they were under 25, wouldn't choose the same tat now that it is 10-20 years later. I told her that if she did get one, to make sure it could be covered with clothing and to get something that was special and one she wouldn't get sick of.
She went and got a Sagittarius symbol on the side of her lower back. When she showed it to me after the fact, she went into a whole prepared speech of how it could be hidden and that she found the symbol she liked off the internet, not on the wall of the shop. Then she added, "and I'll always be a Sagittarius, so I'll never get tired of it."
because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
