I've got nothing but good things to say about T-Mobile. I'm an old VoiceStream customer and have been with VS/T-Mobile for 7 years. I have great coverage. I had coverage every step of the way from Minneapolis to Denver on a recent road trip. I get coverage from Minneapolis to Chicago, and I had coverage when I vacationed in Florida a couple of years back. I have friends that live about 45 miles north of Milwaukee and I used to not get coverage there and now I have no issues (so they are expanding coverage and they don't charge for roaming calls so if I pick up another provider's tower, it don't matter (it could be my plan though, which is hard to believe because I have the cheapest plan you can currently get, which I only upgraded to after having the 75 minute $20 plan a year ago).

I've had some disputed charges and one they completely reversed and the other we worked something out (it was my mistake for starting a 3 hour phone call 15 minutes before weekend hours kicked in. If I would have hung up at 12:01, there would have been no charges, so the fact that they offered to meet me half way was great).

They even cut me a break replacing my Razr after it fell out of my pocket and into the toilet (before I started peeing).

I'm super happy with T-Mobile.

I've had great luck with www.Alltel.com and that's saying something, as I'm a truck driver that is literally all over the place. I had Sprint for 5 years, up until a little over a year ago when they fucked up by not allowing me to add a 3rd line. Now I have 4 lines with double the minutes and half the cost, and that's including using them as my isp when I'm on the road (Motorola K1m phone as a modem).

That's screwy... I would suggest looking at Cingular (At&t) I've heard good things about them too...

My first carrier was Sprint, and I did not have coverage at the DZ. I switched to Cingular and have used them for two years. I get great coverage. I just signed up for another two years.

I use Cingular, and I was impressed last summer when I, thinking (in error) that I had free mobile-to-mobile minutes, ran up a huge bill after I went through all my saved up roll-over minutes. Even though it was TOTALLY my fault, they reviewed my history with them, and since I had been a good customer for so long, the ATE the charges--like $300-$400. I won't switch from 'em ever now. The proof is in the pudding.

Cingular is now AT&T (again). A bad experience with AT&T several years ago prevents me from switching to them, but I do keep hearing good things about their customer service that contrasts with my experience, so maybe one of these days. I sure would like to have better cell coverage when at the DZ...especially if I can get one that'll run a laptop wireless card.

I have it for emails. I dont really make many phone calls but do need to answer emails while slaving away in a kitchen all day.

Though i do not think it is difficult to make calls.
Another good thing i find with it is Tomto. I get lost without tomtom in this city.

I've got Verizon and I've been pretty happy with them. I switched from Cingular because they got service everywhere, BUT 50% of my calls were dropped. The service was there, but it was pretty bad.

I've got the Samsung 730i phone now and it's got a wireless card so I can log on to the internet from any wireless router without paying for any data plan or usage. It works like a laptop.
