willard 0 #27 May 1, 2007 My mom took in a silver tabby that had been abused. She (the cat, not my mom) hid in the upstairs bathroom and didn't come out for over a week. She had her litter box there and ma took her food. Little by little she started investigating the rest of the house. Finally, after about two months, she allowed ma to pet her.
