lawrocket 3 #1 April 30, 2007 I watched the first couple of hours of it while playing with my son in front of the television on Saturday. As a Raider fan, I WILL say that this has been an interesting weekend - we got JaMarcus Russel. We took the smart pick because, well, he seems to have the most potential and is the sort of cat that can change the team between 2009 and 2019. I hope. Even when I was out and about running errands (my wife waits until the hottest say of the year to decide she wants to get a fountain for the back yard - dammit I'm sore). But who can talk about the draft without talking about Brady Quinn? The poor guy was brought there into the green room to face the cameras on him, all alone, for HOURS. Can you think of a darker moment? And was he thinking, "I'm gonna fire my agents NOW!"? My wife is hotter than your wife.
BillyVance 35 #2 April 30, 2007 I think Brady's performance in the Sugar bowl really hurt his draft standing. No wonder JaMarcus went first. He put an asswhupping on Notre Dame. Want to know an interesting detail? Alabama did not have any 1st or 2nd round draft picks. Hell not even a 3rd or 4th rounder if I'm not mistaken. Did you see how many LSU players went in the first round alone? FOUR! Who recruited them? Nope, not current coach Les Miles. Hint: He's now the coach at Alabama. Hambone 0 #3 April 30, 2007 I am sure that Jamarcus will do an astounding job. But i can't wait to watch Calvin tear up secondaries in the NFL next season.Yeah...You need to grow up. -Skymama
Ashtanga 0 #4 April 30, 2007 It is safe to say Quinn lost about $20,000,000 not going in the top 5. That would hurt expecting to go 1st and being picked what was it 22?
hisgoofyness 0 #5 April 30, 2007 In my opinion the Raiders had the best draft of all. Not that I am a fan or a member of "The Nation"... I am a Bears / Falcons fan. The Falcons once again had what I think to be an non impressive draft. The fact that they passed on a great Georgia player in Chales Johnson only to draft one of Georgia's most frustrating TE's in Martrez Milner... I just don't get their thinking. I can't wait to see what Calvin Johnson does in Detroit. Being opposite the field of Roy Williams should make any QB look great! Goudha is for Buddha, and that's good enough for me! I don't think anyone expected to see him go #1, at least I didn't. The best would have been #3 the way I predicted. I am still shocked that Miami passed on him, and then Green Bay would have been the next team I thought might make a move on him. Was a crazy draft... willard 0 #8 May 1, 2007 I don't foloow football much but when I do I'm a Browns & Buckeyes fan. I thought Cleveland did well on Saturday. What seemed to stand out, to me anyway, was that out of all the players in the OSU/Florida championship game only 6 were drafted in the first two rounds. Either a lot of parity in college football or the scouts weren't overly impressed.

Chris Leak, QB for the national championship winning Gators, didn't get drafted at all!!! However, he did sign an unrestricted free agent deal with Da Bears! I think he is capable of more than the current Bears QB from Florida. Goudha is for Buddha, and that's good enough for me!
