skysprite 0 #4 May 1, 2007 25-30 lbs, depending on which scale you believe. I've been using three (two diff readings at home, and a diff reading at school). I'm trying to get an appointment with the personal trainer I worked with in Feb so I can get another body composition test done to compare to Feb. Once I do that I'll update with the body fat % lost.~skysprite
BillyVance 35 #5 May 1, 2007 You've done a great job! Then comes the really hard part.... keeping it off! "Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
WatchYourStep 0 #6 May 1, 2007 That's really impressive. It's always nice to see people set a goal and then stick to doing the work it takes to accomplish it. johnsw71 0 #7 May 1, 2007 Wow!!! Major congratulations! You look great! I'm glad you aren't competing against the guys! It occurred to me that since very successful participants in this will probably have to downsize canopies, we should have gone after PD to sponsor a new canopy for a prize. skysprite 0 #9 May 1, 2007 Hmmm. Back in the day I looked and felt great when I weighed about 140, so that's my goal right now. Will get there then reevaluate and see what I want to do. Was about 145 in the attached pictures.~skysprite

johnsw71 0 #14 May 1, 2007 Just out of curiosity, and if you don't mind, could you summarize what exactly you did over the last three months to get your results? Whatever it was, it sure did work!

skysprite 0 #16 May 1, 2007 Sure. I tried to stay between 1200 and 1500 calories daily. I tracked every single thing I ate on FitDay. Along with that, I went to the gym 3 to 5 times a week. (I went 4 days most weeks.) My usual gym workout was 33 minutes cardio on the eliptical, including cool down, and I'd increase resistance on both easy and difficult parts as I got better. I would also increase the time spent doing cardio when I could do it and had the time to do so, but more often than not I stuck with the 33 minutes. Every other day I would do upper and lower body resistance training on the lifecycle machines. (Upper body one day, lower body the next, upper, lower.) When I did lower body I'd do abs too. I was the worst about doing ab work though. I hate it. I need to get better about that!! I also didn't push myself too hard with the resistance training, so that's something to improve as well. My sister is currently training to go into officer's training school with the Navy. I'm still slower because I have to pace myself, but I can outrun her when it comes to distance/endurance! ~skysprite
sundevil777 102 #17 May 1, 2007 My heaviest in the last couple years has been 245. I'm now at 215 (lowest I've been for 13 years), down from 235 which has all occured in the last 2 months. Being 'back on the market' after 15 years has a way of providing motivation. People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am
sartre 0 #18 May 1, 2007 Rock on Girl!!!!!!!! There's no point in me posting any updates...there's really no difference. So, I'm all for going another three months. I've got a whole bunch of crazy stuff straightened out and life is much more calm these days. I'm ready to hit it hard. Tho I'm afraid if I get to my goal weight, I'll have to downsize......I bought a 170 that I'm working my way down to. You look terrific, absolutely terrific and I'm very impressed! I've thought about you a lot the past three months and wondered how you were doing...obviously, you were pretty darn committed. You're my new inspiration! iluvtofly 0 #19 May 2, 2007 DAMN GIRL!!!! YOU LOOK AWESOME!!!! I was doing really well at first. Going to the gym 3 or 4 times a week. But then I went on vacation for 2 weeks and I've been so busy moving the past 2 weeks that I haven't been able to go to the gym. So it's been a long month of not working out. The scale says I still weigh the same as the last time I went to the gym but I feel like I've gained some of the weight back. I'm all for going another 3 months. But congrats, you look great.
