What do your cats do when you're not paying attention to them?

Recommended Posts

Enzo likes to chew up corrigated cardboard boxes. Bart stalks Enzo. Enzo stalks Bart. They have World Championship Ultimate Fighting matches in the living room. Chase each other around the house at high speed. All kinds of crazy shit.

Neko will fall asleep or claw the furniture. If her food dish is empty she'll pay no end of attention to me...

Sounds like Abby, cat with a never-ending appetite :D. Sometimes I'll put the food dish away at night for an early wake-up.

Most of the time, my girls are lazy. Shadow really likes to lounge in the sun. Much of the time, it's a fight to determine who's dominant kitty. They wrestle non-stop, and I hear a yowl from time to time when one of them gets bitten. They stalk/ambush each other and run as fast as they can through my apartment :S:D. Sometimes they get a bit too rambunctious in the early morning and get locked out of my bedroom :D:D.

I have two cats and if they want attention and I am busy or something then they either meow no stop or knock things off my shelves.

My cat will find some invisible bug to attack in the living room, which will usually end up with her knocking something over. Other than that, she's a puller... She sticks her paws on anything she can pull down... She pulled down a lit candle the other night. All I got out of that was a burned carpet and red wax everywhere. B|

Too cute!

I usually find mine in the kitchen sink looking for scraps.

Last night we opened the opening to the attic to let the heat up and out. Hubby swore they would not get up there. This morning we found insulation all over the floor. They didn't hang around for the cleanup but when we left and came back later, same thing. Needless to say there is now a grate up there. :)

Mine just HAS to go outside at 3am, is he's asleep on our bed, (moreso in winter) at 3am he needs to go outside, so he'll walk across our pillows, and push our heads, if thet dont work he'll get on the sidetable and head butt the rading lamp into the ventian blinds, if that dont work he pushes shit of the side table on the the hardwood floor, THAT WORKS:ph34r::ph34r::ph34r::ph34r: the little fucker:ph34r:

I don't have cats and that is because I KNOW what they do when you aren't looking.

First they use that pan full of poop and dirt then they jump up on your kitchen counters where you prepare food and walk all over. After that they jump up on your table where you eat your food and lay all over it while doing things like licking themselves.

Eeewwwwwwww...
If you can't live without me, why aren't you dead already?

I know what you mean! My 17 lb muscled male cat wants to go out at 4 am, and he'll bound across the foot of the bed, stepping all over my damn ankles. I'll ignore him the first few times, then I'll yank my legs out of the way when I feel him start it again and he stops in the middle of his way across as if I confused him, and I'll yell "knock it off asshole!", then "I'm gonna kick your ass if you do it again!", then finally I'll rip the covers off, jump out of bed, stomp to the goddamn sliding door to the deck outside our bedroom, yank the damn door open and yell "GET THE FUCK OUT!" He'll hesitate for a few seconds, then race out. :| Fucker still loves me. :D

Planning their next big adventure.

"When they leave, let's do this and this and a lot of that. We'll really piss them off."

Why the hell don't they plan something good every once in a while? Something like a nice cat-burglary bringing home diamonds and money? Fockers.

My reality and yours are quite different.

He has trained you well! :D

Sometimes I get him back. When I'm in the mood to, I'll lure the sonofabitch into the hallway towards the living room, then shut the door. Problem solved. NO amount of caterwauling is going to wake me up! :D:D:D

I have to amend my answer. After a night of Insomnia, I have concluded that Neko works on her Doctoral thesis in particle physics, under the guidance of Dr. Kallend. I am now worried about the huge tuition bill I will be looking at...

Mine will do stuff like that when they WANT my attention. Or they'll jump on the keyboard when I'm on the computer, or jump in front of the TV and block it, or walk around howling, etc........

When they know I'm not paying attention and they don't want me to pay attention, that's when they jump on the fish tank or kitchen counters. They're pretty smart like that. :P

My female cat, the lighter daintier one, when she wants my attention and I'm postwhoring on here, she jumps up on the desk then climbs up on top of the monitor and lays down, with her damn tail flicking back and forth across the screen.

I simply pick her up and set her down in the hallway and shut the door. :P

Get some nontoxic hair dye and make her a purple cat.

Well, our kitty nearly broke her knee while outside on the patio last friday when left alone for about 5 minutes. We think she jumped to high and crash landed... Poor thing is now on "strict rest" and stuck in a kennel for a month or more till it heals.
My old cat that died this year has a video of what she did for a couple of days when I was at work. Web cams are fun if they can act like motion detectors.... B|

If I'm busy & not going downstairs to feed the cats, the cats start climbing up on furniture and "accidentally" knocking stuff onto the floor.

That is why I invested in a few PET CARRIERS . . . they seem to do the job.
