The Sting !!! what a great story.. lots of surprises, super memorable characters,,,Doyle Lonigan,, his two henchmen, "Mutt and Jeff"...
Of course... Newman and Redford,,,Ray Walston, Eileen Brennan
Snyder the Cop... Loretta Celino,,, Kid Twist, Joe Erie,,,,,.... "and they're at the Starting gate"...
....
If you Like DeNiro... then Midnight Run has to be a favorite.. jack walsh. hahahaha and Jonathan Mardukis.. ( Charles Grodin). Plus Joe Pantoliano did a great job as Eddie Moscone..
"Bail Bonds"......Lots of cool stuff in that "road film".. the boxcar/train ride, car chases, airplane rides....... Jimmy Surrano... " Sydney, If you say One more word,,,I'll BURY this telephone in your Head ".....and jimmy's two incompetant muscle men.....Hopalong Quesedeech...... hahahahaha...
"surrano's got the discs, surrano's got the discs".... And Yaphett Khotto, FBI agent Alonzo Mosely. hahahahah talk about High blood pressure!!!!. haahahahahah that guy was cool....
" Get a wire on this man"......
THAT flick ended with a great finish.. just great.

Clooney cracked me UP in that flick...
"I don't want FOP !! Goddamn it.. I'm a Dapper Dan man '. !!!!!! John Turturro and Tim Blake Nelson were great as well... " The Reverend warshed away allll my sins and transgressions".... and then Pete goes.. " Delmar's been saved".... and Clooney replies
"you guys are dumb as a box of hammers. !!!! hahahahaha plus "Pass the Biscuits", Pappy O Daniel.....and his re-election committee...... " We ain't one timin' here, we're mass communicating"....great bluegrass music,,,,and the dude who ran the radio station
was a small part character, but one of the most memorable.........;)
I have more,, and could go on and on,,, but then I'll NEVER end.....;)

I'm with you and Squeak on the Blues Brothers..but thats my #2..here's my top 5:

1. Its a Wonderful Life (Awesome!!!--its NOT a tear jerker!)
2. The Blues Brothers (there could be a funeral tomorrow, this will make stop crying tonight for 2 hours)
3. GoodFellas (anytime, anyWHERE)
4. City Lights (Charlie Chaplin)
5. A Chorus Line (I like the ending--ask my neighbors) :D or better still, anything with Fosse choreography...sexy sexaaaay!~~~April

All 15 serials of "Superman versus the Mole Men"
With the zippers you could see in their costumes for 25 cents with pop corn 10 cents more

You wouldn't consider King Cong a 'chick flick'? I think the latest version is definitive 'chick'. Naomi Watts (???yes???) was very charming.

Jessica Lange..yuuuuuuuck with that film..

Naomi pulled off the 'girl in distress' as faye raysp did. She was down & out...beautiful...ready to work (blah blah..think 'Cinderella') wound up with more than she bargained for and was willing to sacrifice her own happiness ('scuse me...I have to blah blah some more).

And speaking of Cinderella, how about THAT for a classic??? I think even the men that grew up seeing it once would mark that a classic..along with 'Lilli' *sigh* okay...I'm thinking chick flicks...

..I'll throw in 'Apocalypse (sp) NOW' to maintain my street cred ;)~~~April

i know....most of mine were chick flicks....what can I say i am a romantic at heart......i loved butch cassidy and the sundance kid....anything with clint east wood - hang em high, good - bad - and the ugly. How about classic slasher flicks?????
