jlmiracle 7 #1 May 7, 2007 A carolina wren built and nest and laid eggs in a box of junk on a shelf in my garage. Our garage in enclosed so I opened a window for it to come and go. Everything had been going fine for the last week and a half til my cat discovered the garage guest. Bird is fine. My cat doesn't usually kill stuff - she brings whatever in the house alive and lets it go. The cat did catch the wren flying from the box to the window (we are assuming) at 4:30 a.m. and brought the bird in the house. The wren is fine - flew back out to the nest. Yesterday we moved the shelving the box is on (its on wheels) next to the open window to give it a better chance staying away from the cat and we tried to cover the box to move mom with the nest but she flew out before we got it covered. Will the mother wren be able to find the nest again? It simply got moved from one side of the garage to the other.
