Broke 0 #1 May 10, 2007 Is anyone here into autocross. I am looking to get into it, just to test my limits. The thing I like is that you aren't going to be racing out of your class. It is a pretty cool concept.Divot your source for all things Hillbilly. Anvil Brother 84 SCR 14192

eUrNiCc 0 #4 May 10, 2007 I autocrossed for a few seasons before I got into skydiving. My dad is still active with the local autoX club. Like skydiving, it will eat up your free time and extra income in a heartbeat, but it is whole lot of fun. Before you know it, you'll have an autocross car, rallycross car and a Solo1 track car Most clubs have a novice class and an extra special briefing at the beginning of the day with a novice walkthrough. Your first few runs should concentrate on finding the course and being consistant instead of trying to be fast. Smooth is fast! If anyone is looking for a nice autocross car, I have a 1988 MR2 Supercharged for sale with all of the goodies Good Luck! Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age. Scoop 0 #5 May 10, 2007 Funnily enough I was looking to take up Rallycross. The local circuit is supposedly one of the best in Europe and they do a championship which is just in the Southern part of the country so save travelling. I'd probably have gone for the stock hatch class and built a car from scratch or possible modified class if I found one for sale at reasonable price. Sadly. My wish list is ever extending. Skydiving being at the top but all consuming for money, I'm hoping to get a sports bike this summer, I'd like to learn to scuba dive. So much to do. Oh well. Got years to do these things
