mamajumps 0 #1 May 10, 2007 My parents were successful in raising me in a box with a big rock on the top. As like most women, I would love to have some tasteful sexy pictures of myself, here in lies the problem. I seriously don't know how to be sexy... So what makes a picture sexy to you? livendive 8 #2 May 10, 2007 Lots of body parts can be sexy, but aside from the subject of the picture, just knowing that she put in the effort just for me and was hopefully turned on in the process is pretty hot. 2fat2fly 0 #6 May 10, 2007 My wife had some done that knock my socks off and they're all PG-13. The ladies at church did them for their husbands for Valentine's day. Sexy is more illusion and almost seeing than raunchy or explicit. But, there's a place for explicit tooJust my opinion on what I like I am not the man. Viking 0 #7 May 10, 2007 Hippy is 100% right. I don't how many really tastfully done almost none nude pictures i seen that were soooooo much more sexy than a Penthouse poon shot. Plus i'm a photographer and love the simple elegant look of b+w photo. The lack of color makes the shot more about form, pose, and tones.I swear you must have footprints on the back of your helmet - chicagoskydiver My God has a bigger dick than your god -George Carlin
Lindercles 0 #8 May 10, 2007 In addition to what everyone else has said, I'd also go with the "hanging from the ceiling fan with a bottle in your butt clucking like a chicken" shot. Very sexy.
PikzeeVikzen 0 #9 May 10, 2007 Your attitude is going to make the biggest difference in the sexiness of the picture. If you are relaxed and feeling confident it's going to show in the way you look at the camera. If you are feeling self conscious in any way that will show too. I tend to think a good tease makes a picture sexy too. It's all about letting your imagination run away with what it's given instead of just putting it all out there. Lighting is also key!! Most of all, have fun! I'm the twist that turns your key....
BillyVance 35 #10 May 10, 2007 There is a photography studio in Birmingham, AL, whose name I can't remember, but I saw an article in the newspaper a month or so ago. They offer retro sexy looks, tastefully done, of course. VanillaSkyGirl 6 #12 May 10, 2007 Quote My parents were successful in raising me in a box with a big rock on the top. Hahahaa...you're adorable. I could say the same thing about how my parents tried to raise me. Quote As like most women, I would love to have some tasteful sexy pictures of myself, here in lies the problem. I seriously don't know how to be sexy... So what makes a picture sexy to you? I used to feel that way, but I realized that what the guys say is true. Do what makes you feel sexy and pretty. You do NOT have to be nude to be sexy. Personally, I would feel unsexy, if I showed too much. To me, classy is very sexy. Take some pics of yourself by yourself, if possible. (I began doing this when my then significant other was overseas.) Focus on what you feel are your assets, like your lips, eyes or even other body parts, like your back or legs. You might need help from your SO or a close friend, if you take pics of your back and such. If indoors, eliminate as possible out of the background, or go to a beautiful setting, like a beach. Above all, don't do anything that you are not comfortable with, and don't show anyone anything that you feel uncomfortable showing. Anyone can be sexy, hon. Just tell yourself that you are sexy, and you will be.

For a sexy look you can wear whatever you want, pose how you like, any adequate lighting, any medium, but if the eyes don't say "Take me!" then nothing else matters. Of course, all that other stuff can play a really big support role.

guppie01 0 #16 May 10, 2007 This is a tough one.... I know I started taking some pictures and at first I felt like such a dork, and "who in the world would find this attractive/sexy" (I don't remotely fit the classic model type - I am cute, not sexy). Thank god for digital cameras, you can delete and keep trying until something finally clicks (so to speak). Also if there is someone you are comfortable enough sharing them with (female or male) to receive feedback that helps not only to work on the camera angle etc., but it definitely gives ya an ego boost. I've only experimented by myself, but I would love to get a photographer to take some professional shots (classy of course). Good luck sweetie! g"Let's do something romantic this Saturday... how bout we bust out the restraints?" Raddest Ho this side of Jersey #1 - MISS YOU OMG, is she okay? kbordson 8 #17 May 10, 2007 Quote This thread is worthless without proper examples!! ohhh.... thats a set up for pain and tears! Just cuz I would think a picture is sexy doesn't mean someone else would... and so if someone posts something really nice, but someone else doens't think it might qualify as "sexy".... pain and tears - but as far as my opinion of sexy It depends on the image you're trying to project: strong and alluring sweet and innocent Keep things more to the imagination and, as noted above black and white adds a touch of grace and art to the image Here's an example of the strong, "you know you want me" look
quade 4 #18 May 10, 2007 In addition to all of the strictly photographic basics of lighting and whatnot I think the photo needs to tell a story of some sort. A woman flat on her back and laid out spread eagle isn't really all that "sexy", on the other hand, add even the slightest story element to the photo and you might really have something worth looking at. It's the difference between what most amature's photos are (a piece of meat in a bedroom) and what Playboy does by putting their models into a setting and creating a bit of a fantasy story; The Farm Girl, The Racer Chick, The Rigger Chick in the loft where it's so hot she simply has to pack in the nude . . . I could go on, but perhaps I've already said too much . . .quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

All people are sexy in their own way without having to try so hard. I would tend to agree with you, Apollard, because that is what I usually prefer for myself. However, some women might like the thought of stepping into a "fantasy". The Rockabilly retro shots, that I've seen out there are wonderful. Personally, I adore vintage clothing and would love to dress in vintage outfits with the red lipstick and period hair-dos for sexy photos. To me, a glamorous seductress like Rita Hayworth or the pin-up Vargas girl-look are the embodiment of feminine, sexy beauty.
