willard 0 #1 May 11, 2007 My niece is on scholarship to play Div.1 softball. At the end of April she was ranked 2nd in the nation in stolen bases at .93 per game and also in the rankings among toughest to strike out, only 6 strike outs in 97 at bats. Unfortunately her season came to an abrupt end when she took a hard shot to the head while base running and sustained a concussion. When her headache and dizziness didn't go away an MRI showed a small bruise on her brain. Though not life threatening it did put a halt to all activities including classes at school. That was over two weeks ago and she still has headaches and occasional loss of balance. They are doing another MRI and other tests this week so any and all vibes/prayers would be appreciated. Sometimes these things are annoyingly slow to resolve "...I've learned that while the "needs" in life are important (food, water, shelter), it's the "wants" in life (ice cream, chocolate, sex) that make it worth the effort."
