Buffdiver 0 #1 September 8, 2006 Ive had this rig for about 4 months now. When i first got it i noticed the elastic on the risers holding the toggles seemed a bit streched and worn out. The other day I had a brake fire on opening. Wasnt a big problem and was able to fix the problem quickly by unstowing the other toggle. I was curious to if it would be better to have the elastic replaced by my rigger or to just go ahead and by a new set of risers. The rig is a Jav and is about ten years old with close to 800 jumps on it. it has a new PD reserve and new lineset on the main. thanks for the input. kenneth21441 0 #3 September 8, 2006 Replace the set as it will save you alot more in the long run. riggerrob 643 #4 September 8, 2006 If your risers are worn out after 800 jumps, who old are your suspension lines? Most types of suspension lines are "tired" after 800 jumps.

Have your rigger look at the risers. They should not be worn out after just 800 jumps. The toggle elastics are not that hard to replace.
