iluvtofly 0 #1 May 15, 2007 Ok...I feel really dumb for asking this but...how do you get your computer to not require a password when turning it on? I turned this feature on when I was living in a house with 4 other people. But now that I'm in an apartment by myself I don't really need it anymore. I just can't remember how I did that. I have Windows XP in case that makes a difference. Thanks.
GogglesnTeeth 6 #2 May 15, 2007 Ok, I believe that if you go to the control panel, then user accounts. Delete all of the other accounts, and then shut off the guest account. Then there is basically only one account on the computer and it should start up without the log in screen.Goggles and Teeth "You fall like a greased safe!!!" Icon134 0 #4 May 15, 2007 there should be a "User Accounts" option in the control panel... you should be able to disable your password in there (and you can probably set it to automatically log in as well) I don't remember it being too difficult when I've done it in the past.Livin' on the Edge... sleeping with my rigger's wife...
