At least your at a net gain of one step and getting somewhere.

I'm currently back peddling as fast as I can as just to not fall over.

Here's been my last 7 days:
Wednesday: $916 repair car
Wednesday night: Dog throws up five times
Thursday: Dog craps in house.
Friday: Dog craps in house again.
Saturday: Stupid winds pick up and I didn't quite get my goal of doing 200 jumps my first year
Saturday night: Dog still sick and now has puked in the clubhouse at the dz four times, in her kennel and crapped in the bf's house (and when I'm saying crap...I mean major running, pissin' out your A-hole fun).
Sunday: Bring dog to vet for $230 bill.
This AM: Car breaks down about a 1 mile from work. With the tow charge and probably the alternator (symptoms point in that direction), I'll have another bill for $350. I'm not sure how I'm going to get home or how I'm going to go to get my car picked up. I had to bow out of my first 4 way competition on the 19th because of my unexpected up the ass bills in the last 7 days and leave my team and since my dog has gotten all her medication on Sunday night, she hasn't pooped yet.

Taking two steps forward and one step back seems like a pretty damn good thing right now.

Sorry...going back to my silent moppy place...

And not one of those things is a REAL concern (purhaps the dog) how sad you didnt make 200 in 12 months, how sad you cant make your 1st 4way comp, how sad you can afford to pay your car and vet bill

Everyones worries should be so sad as yours:S:S

Hmm...let's see. The car bill today ended up being $693 today, and since now my key won't turn over in the ignition, I get to go back tomorrow and have more work done. Which is going to create debt that I probably won't pay off until either A) I sell my house or 2) go in rears with my mortgage. So, I hope that I sell my house soon, or there goes the credit. Then the dog will be the least of my problems as I give her away because it's hard to feed me and a dog while living on the street. This is the tip of the iceberg. If you'd like to know everything that is going on, please PM me and if not, then STFU.

Have you been listening to country music again??

Yall gotta listen to this one...

http://bertc.com/dropkick.htm

Song from Bobby Bare Greatest Hits, Bareworks Inc.
Words and music by Paul Craft.
CD, BWCD-040292
Drop kick me Jesus through the goal posts of life
End over end neither left nor to right
Straight through the heart of them righteous uprights
Drop kick me Jesus through the goal posts of life.

Make me, oh make me, Lord more than I am
Make me a piece in your master game plan
Free from the earthly tempestion below
I’ve got the will, Lord if you’ve got the toe.

Drop kick me Jesus through the goal posts of life
End over end neither left nor to right
Straight through the heart of them righteous uprights
Drop kick me Jesus through the goal posts of life.

Take all the brothers who’ve gone on before
And all of the sisters who’ve knocked on your door
All the departed dear loved ones of mine
Stick’em up front in the offensive line.

Drop kick me Jesus through the goal posts of life
End over end neither left nor to right
Straight through the heart of them righteous uprights
Drop kick me Jesus through the goal posts of life.

Yeah, Drop kick me Jesus through the goal posts of life
End over end neither left nor to right
Straight through the heart of them righteous uprights
Drop kick me Jesus through the goal posts of life.

I didn't spend $4000 on jumping this year. I found a dz that doesn't shove up students ass to learn how to jump and charge you an arm and a leg for a ride to altitude.

And you didn't say that many people were priveledged whiners...you wrote "You are just another priveledged whiner". Sounded pretty specific to me.

How come you always manage to say the wrong things at that the wrong time. Or is it the wrong things at the right time? I don't know ... last I read, this thread seemed to be a "woe is me" thread. And that's okay. That's allowed here (last I heard).

Why is it that you always have to be such a ... ummm ... ah, shit billvon, I'm trying here ... you've asked me to me more "understanding" .. and I'm trying to be ... oh ... never mind ... Squeak, why are you such a poopy pants.

Stop judging people. You seem to think that people shouldn't jump because unforseen bills might crop up and if they do, and those bills crop up, they don't get to do the "woe is me" thread and hope for a little "you're not the only one".

Try and be a little more human.

Oh, and the "perhaps the dog" was an asshole-ish reply.

Apparently dogs don't matter in your world...

:S:S:S

Oh, to the rest of you, sorry for the vent ... I've been dealing with a lot of assholes in my world lately [:/][:/]

Carry on. I'm on your side with "why is it..." :|

Perhaps the dog was not meant to be asholeish, more so that the dog is probably the only thing of legitamate concern.
People who spend there time and money on a recreational activity like skydiving really have no bussiness whining about finances.
We who skydive are a relatively wealthy lot. People should really get theuir priorities in check and concenr themselves with hting of more importance.

Oh and Shell if your world is full of arseholes, ask yourself why they may be attracted to you:P:ph34r:

I haven't read the other replies at all, yet; I hope that it's not a mistake to post to you now. I apologize if this sounds rude, but was there a reason why you couldn't tak your dog to get proper medical attention, until Sunday? It was so sick from Wednesday on...it just seems like a long time to wait. I'm glad that your dog is better now.

That's too bad that you had to stop your 4-way due to unforeseen expenses, but it happens. That's one of the reasons why many jumpers don't compete. Competing in this sport is such a huge commitment, financially and in every way.

Good luck with all, and I hope that the doggie stays healthy!

So all skydivers are wealthy??? And if you're involved in this sport and you're NOT wealthy, you don't get to whine about things? Hmmm ... guess I should check out of this whining thread then. And the sport. Must be nice to not have to worry about things and be able to judge those that do.

And I didn't say my WORLD was full of assholes -- only lately. Maybe it's because I try and give most of them the benefit of the doubt. I think I'll stop doing that. It's not working out for me and negative energy is a bad thing ...

Oh man, I just read the thread! I agree that you should just let her vent. She's upset. There's no reason to throw these things in her face at this time, Squeak.

That I agree with 100%, although I'm not talking about ANYONE on this thread at all. (I agree with that thought among skydivers, in genereal.) I also think, Squeak, that you can be a bit hard on people. Still, you've been quite nice to me and a couple of others, when we least expected it. It took me a while to figure you out, but you're ok in my book.

She's thrown up a few times before. She's a dog. They eat things they shouldn't. I did talk to the vet on Thursday evening and they said she's probably fine, just ate something she shouldn't have. Said to fast her until Saturday AM and then try giving her rice and chicken to get her started again. I gave her rice and chicken on Saturday AM. Seemed to stay down. Gave her more on Saturday night and she started to vomit again. I took her to the vet Sunday AM as soon as they opened. Her energy level was normal and other than the puking and pooping, she was her normal self. So instead of taking her to an Vet Hospital and having $1000 vet bill, I waited until Sunday AM to bring her in.

We all have our two steps forward, one step back issues.

What is hard for one may not be hard for another.
None are worse, just different. Everyone has a limit with what they can endure.

There should be no bashing of anyone's issues. Regardless of how minor or anti-priority they seem to be to some.

Edited to add:

And one's decision on how to remedy their situation shouldn't be judged as well.

Ok, I'm done. :)

Be yourself!
