skyberdyber 0 #1 May 15, 2007 Continental have they best fares right now for my itinerary but I've never flown them. Any feedback on their service? The Atlantic portion is on a 777. http://www.skydiveatlanta.com http://www.musiccityskydiving.com
airtwardo 7 #2 May 15, 2007 I just got back last night from 10 days in Europe, flew Continental as always. Left from Houstion but there was a bit of a delay, someone hit the 777 with a baggage cart and we had to wait 5 hours for another aircraft....other than that the trip was great. ~ If you choke a Smurf, what color does it turn? ~

Considering how downhill ALL of the major US Airlines have gone in the past ten years, Continental is still the best in the industry. Obviously, their first class product on the 777 (Called Business First) is superior to other Business Classes on other airlines, but not as great as other first classes (for instance, Singapore Air's flat beds which are to DIE for...) But for Coach, they're not terrible, either. Try and get a coach row before row 22, and you'll have power outlets to plug in for your laptop. Fly them. They're a good airline._______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."

Not a cheap or easy one to fix since the Al. was pretty wrinkled and I'm sure the chance of keeping pressure in the cargo area was nill...I bet someone is looking for a new Yob! ~ If you choke a Smurf, what color does it turn? ~

narcimund 0 #15 May 15, 2007 Quote But they serve meals at mealtime! I just got off a 5-hour evening Continental flight (Houston to Vancouver). What did they serve for dinner? One packet of peanuts or one packet of pretzels. Mmmm. Yummy. (Since I don't ever eat airline food I was happy about it this way -- less smell. But if you're the type that likes that crap, don't expect it on Continental.) First Class Citizen Twice Over

narcimund 0 #19 May 15, 2007 Quotei dunno what yall are talkin bout.. Three times before boarding they announced, "There will be NO meal on this flight. Yes, that's right. No food will be served. If you want food, I recommend you buy a meal here in the airport and bring it on board. Repeat: There will be NO meal on this flight." Then on board the attendant told everyone that if they thought there should be food or movies on this flight they should call and complain. He said management never listened to staff but customers might be able to convince them to add those amenities. First Class Citizen Twice Over
gjhdiver 0 #20 May 15, 2007 QuoteContinental have they best fares right now for my itinerary but I've never flown them. Any feedback on their service? The Atlantic portion is on a 777. Continental once hosed me on a transatlantic and left me stranded in Miami. I never flew them again for nearly 20 years until I was booked on a flight by someone else for one of my organizing gigs. To be honest, the standard of service in coach on any airline is appaling these days, with the possible execption of Virgin or BA.
airtwardo 7 #21 May 15, 2007 Quote To be honest, the standard of service in coach on any airline is appalling these days... That happened back when flying went from a limo ride to a bus service...cost less, get less. Remember when people in coach wore clean clothes and didn't carry plastic sacks as luggage? The competitive cost of flying allows more people to do it, but run the numbers...it's not the 'gold mine' it was 10 years ago. I figure if it was easy to get 300 people 2000 miles at 150 bucks a pop...EVERYONE would be doing it. So...if they wanna throw me a stale sammich and a coke, all the better. The relative cost of flying is so low these days I don't expect to be pampered... Always cracks me up when folks get all demanding because their travel plans don't go like clock work... whatdaya want for (next to) nuthin, Rubber Biscuit?? ~ If you choke a Smurf, what color does it turn? ~
