slotperfect 7 #1 May 26, 2007 Over the last four years or so I have been busy rebuilding my music collection. My once extensive vinyl LP collection is slowly but surely being replaced by CDs. The cool thing is that Greatest Hits collections, once limited to 8 or 9 songs and usually disappointing for the true audiophile, have evolved into nicely done 2 CD collections. I have been eating them up. April Wine is next on my list. None of the compilations grab me, so I am going to buy the three albums I wore the grooves out on years ago: First Glance, Harder . . . Faster, and The Nature of the Beast. I discovered April Wine when I discovered CHOM-FM from Montreal in 1978. I remember really enjoying their three guitar sound. They are still making music . . . Jerry Mercer (drums) must be nearly 70 years old. Arrive Safely John

You'd crack up to know that I was skating backwards and hit a bump in the rink and was seeing birdies and stars...out cold...and a guy named Toby "saved me"...same name as your parent's African Gray _________________________________________

slotperfect 7 #10 May 26, 2007 90% of my LP collection was sold at a yard sale, and I got rid of my turntable once my CD collection began to grow in the late 80s. Now I buy the CD and rip it to mp3 for versatility. Right now my mp3s are stored on a 60GB external hard drive . . . I am soon to shoft those to an 80 GB iPod whixh will be more useful.Arrive Safely John
