1969912 0 #1 May 27, 2007 I picked a good year not to watch the race. Rain delay at lap 113. Restar ~3:15 PST. Could still be the year for a girl win. Danica Patrick is in third place. Yippeee! Sarah Fisher 25th or so. Won't win. Milka Duno crashed. Race just restarted. Beerlight 0 #2 May 27, 2007 crap. why not wait until this round of rain, and then go again? put the freakin rain tyres on and go would ya!!!!!!!!! Franchitti won it under a yellow.
1969912 0 #3 May 27, 2007 I hate that shit. Winning under yellow. Especially at 412 miles in a 500 mile race. re: rain tires. they probably wouldn't even be able to hit 140 in the turns. FreeflyChile 0 #4 May 27, 2007 they said earlier in the broadcast they dont use rain tires at Indy because there's on "off the track" for the cars to slide off on to like you'd have in a road course -- if the cars slide they'd go straight into the concrete wall. Beerlight 0 #7 May 28, 2007 yep, i think i heard that too, but it just seems like they should...... I see the Euro Formula boyz running in anything, fast as fuck, and you just spit on the track here in the US and they have to stop the race! damn it to hell...... We need more road courses in the U.S...........
BillyVance 35 #8 May 28, 2007 Danica will probably get into the winners circle one of these years. She's only gotten 4th, 8th and 8th in her only appearances at the Indy 500. quade 4 #9 May 28, 2007 Was very interesting watching the big gamble coming out of the rain delay; to immediately pit and get tires and gas or press on hoping for a yellow or the next rain to come quickly enough. As for running IN the rain, swapping over to rain tires and pressing on during the rain would be interesting, but far more risky with regards to crashes. I dont' know about you guys, but I'm not actually there to see anybody get hurt. Couple other random observations; 1) Since when is the target market for the Indy 500, WIC coupon mothers? WTF were those commercials doing there? 2) Note to network; if it takes at least 2 hours to dry a track, then have at least 2 hours of filler material prepared! Watching the same clips over and over doesn't do much for ratings. It only gets your audience drunker ('cause like, what else do they have to do besides drink more?) 3) Garmin wins. Was the funniest commercial I saw all day. 4) U.S. auto manufacturers lose. Pretty hard to run any commercials during a race in which you don't have a single engine. WTF? Forgive me if I'm wrong, but didn't at least some of the Indy cars USED to be powered by U.S. engines?
