faulknerwn 38 #1 May 28, 2007 Considering the fact that we've gotten non-stop rain for a week now, we've decided that since we can't jump here, we're going to have a swim meet. Do a couple of laps up and down the runway - winner gets to serve drinks out of our poolside margarita machine.. Sigh. Ok. We're not quite THAT flooded - but we're pretty dang close. Its pouring buckets here yet again today...

BillyVance 34 #6 May 28, 2007 Quote Well maybe we should get a Airplane with Flotation gear You need an amphibian aircraft! Hell, we need some of that damn rain here in Alabama. My yard is bone dry. I've only mowed it once this year. It's one of the worst droughts I've ever seen since I've lived in this house in 7 years. No rain forecasted until at least this Friday. I think we've only had one sprinkle in the past month or two... Beerlight 0 #7 May 28, 2007 hey, wx man just said there "may" be some sun this afternoon.... Although, ya'll have a grass strip? or asphalt?
faulknerwn 38 #8 May 28, 2007 Lots of green still on the radar all around.. And yep, we have a grass strip. Even if it was asphalt, you're sinking up to your shins in mud if you walk in the grass around here. Depending on exactly where you are, according to the local newspaper, there's been between 10-20 inches of rain since Thursday.
