Stumpy 284 #1 May 29, 2007 Did my first group ride this weekend - it was a real buzz. 90km with a bunch of hills, group riding was a new experience but good fun, a few more things to think about but in a good way! And on the way back to town the fast boys picked the pace up... and up... and up..... to see who could hold on! I couldn't eventually! Recommend it to anyone!Never try to eat more than you can lift
ntrprnr 0 #2 May 29, 2007 Bought a Felt a few months ago. Just getting into it. Really liking it so far._______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."
JustChuteMeNow 0 #3 May 29, 2007 Hell yeah. I love to bike and living in Iowa we have one of the premier biking events in the world called RAGBRAI. Come do it some time; it is a blast. Here is a clicky to my riding team for RAGBRAI. RAGBRAI is like a Mardi Gras on wheels and like I said it is a fun ride. Last year we went right by a DZ and several jumpers on the ride were able to make a jump together. RAGBRAI Fun Think of how stupid the average person is and realize that statistically half of them are stupider than that.
skydiver30960 0 #4 May 30, 2007 Used to be a rampant roadie. But after moving through a succession of areas that are terribly anti-cyclist (as opposed to the in-hindsight very pro-cycling area I got started) I let it drop. Was fun, but not worth the risk. Programmer 0 #6 May 30, 2007 Love it. I used to do it a lot when I lived in Texas. Not so much now. The area where I live is not really hostile to bikes. It's just that most of the roads have no shoulder and the cars go 60 mph. It gets a little scary, so I'm more particular about where I ride and I don't do it as often. Maybe your post will inspire me to get out a little more.
woodpecker 0 #7 May 30, 2007 I do the UK coast to coast every year and when living in San Antonio did the trip to Corpus a few years. Good times, but enjoy my MT. Bike much much more.SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?
